Public Service Announcment
I’ve agonized over this for a fortnight now and put off making an official announcement, but the time has come to announce that I have decided to stop blogging SUJU news for SUJUKingdom’s Tumblr account effective January 1st, 2015.
I became an admin for SUJUKingdom in 2012 a few short months after discovering Super Junior and Kpop. I was eager and still learning about Korea and Kpop and the members of Super Junior whom I grew to know and love. It was exciting in the beginning, getting to know other admins and having this bond with so many others who also loved Super Junior.
But as most people are known to do, I changed, my life changed. I’m married now, and busy, with work and just life in general. It’s sad, but I gave it a lot of thought and realized I have to let go, a little at least. I will continue to be an admin just in a less hands on way. The Tumblr blog will stay up and the Twitter as well, as I am not the owner of the brand. I will still be active on Twitter re-tweeting news articles and commenting on the sordid goings on of Super Junior, but my days of slaving for hours to scrape together worthy Super Junior articles, pictorials and videos are over. To be clear I’m not leaving the fandom, I’ll still be an ELF and Kyu-Stan/Qmi shipper. I do feel we are at the end of an era with Super Junior (Sungmin is married!) I see many solo projects and films in the works for the members. (We are in the golden years of Super Junior) I know ELF like to say ‘it’s not an end, but an and’ but truthfully it will end. Members will age, marry, have children and go on to other ventures in their careers/lives, and so will ELF. It doesn’t mean we have to forget. I feel like I’m growing with the members and experiencing more things (despite my age (29)) I’m happy and ready for the next chapter and I know ELF and Super Junior members are as well. It’s been a wild ride, and I have all of you to thank. Here’s to the next ten years of ELF and Super Junior and to all the admins out there. I love you all!
