I love this little parallel between Carmilla and Issac; they’re how they could’ve been if they chose a completely different path.

Carmilla chose to build a kingdom because she wanted to make everyone suffer the way she did in the past.

Issac chose to build a kingdom because he didn’t want anyone to go through what he had gone through in the past.

The difference is that one learned that revenge isn’t the way for salvation, and the other didn’t and relied on it instead of changing for the better.
