I've been in a funk for a bit so I've been focusing on character design since it brings me joy! This here is Rem, a super old oc based on the time my subconscious tricked me into thinking some kind of entity was haunting my dreams when I was a kid. Since Rem lives in a dream world his appearance is always changing, for better or worse.

I love the inclusion of Dark Tailor to the series because the idea of someone being able to out freak Catherine is really funny to me.

Y'know...I think the fandom wiki for Soul of Roses lied to me because I played through the early access twice and I didn't see any Gregory Papa even though he was listed as a new character on the wiki.

AND A GOOD THING IT DID! I probably wouldn't have been curious enough to play if that didn't happen.

I had fun though and I think it was good therapy for me to play. I've had a good friend help me get back into the series and I wasn't overwhelmed at the thought of it like I used to be. I think being able to enjoy the series with just a couple of close friends really helped me.

However I am also learning I need to be allowed to draw Gregory Horror Show fanart and post it online without fear of who approaches me. Because making comics and art for only two people and no one else gets to see is not doing it for me.

I don't want to get in the fandom or RP again really. I just wanna be able to share art for it without having to worry about people crossing boundaries. I really hope I can do it this time.

I just wanted to make silly indie horror comics how did I end up with a plot and themes. I mean I know how but also how???

To elaborate a little since comics take a lot of time. There's something about putting these characters together who you think wouldn't have too much in common but there are little things and they add up.

Once put together there's so many interesting dynamics to think about. So many bonds that can be formed because it's the first time they got to meet someone like them. Even if it's just the small things. The sense of community that could be made but sadly Helpy is there. He's so focused on the business aspect while most of the others are just doing what they can to survive in their worlds.

It's been a really long minute since I painted anything creepy. Luckily, the Prototype face reveal came along for practice. I wasn't a fan at first but now that I know who the character is I'm just like "Yeah...he would give himself that face." lol

Ending the year by doing a warm up and then whoops looks I ended up fully rendering it. New Years Resolution is drawing more self indulgent stuff and actually posting it. This is Silas, an oc from a story that I've been putting together whenever I zone out at work. I'm still figuring it out but through out it all he's been a sneaky fae like creature who is tired as hell.

Maybe in the next post I'll actually tag the show/game I'm currently drawing. No boundary crossers coming out of the woodworks to ask me about the old blog. Plus I just wanna enjoy the series again and post art.
