Before anything, I know.
I know I owe You gratitude ā
for life, for hope,
for the breath that still dares to fill my lungs
even when everything inside me wants to give up.
But today, Fatherā¦
I didnāt come to thank You ā
today I came to ask.
Not with pride.
Not with arrogance.
I came like someone who collapsed on the floor of the soul.
With scraped knees
and a heart in pieces.
Like someone who drowned in their own humanityā¦
and now just longs
to breathe Your forgiveness.
Guide me.
Empty me of illusions.
Close the eyes of my body
to the rot of the world,
and open the eyes of my soul
to Your light.
Take away this hunger for approval,
this addiction to distraction,
this unconscious urge
to run from myself.
My ego keeps trying to win ā
to fool me,
to pull me away from You.
But thereās a part of me ā
small, fragile, but still alive ā
that still loves You.
That still calls Your name.
That still believes,
even when nothing makes sense.
Forgive my failures,
my stumbles,
my stubbornness.
Forgive the times I swore Iād never fall again ā
and still fell.
The times I hid behind masks,
and the times I used pain
as an excuse
not to seek You.
Lord, have mercy on me.
Have compassion on this soul
that got lost in the noise,
but still hears Your voice
in the silence of the night.
Hold me when Iām weak.
Carry me when I feel like giving up.
Hide me when the world
tries to devour me.
Teach me to be faithful,
even when Iām hurting.
Teach me to love,
even after being disappointed.
Teach me to stay,
even when Iām tired.
Remind me
that all of thisā¦ is an illusion.
This life,
this chaos,
this rush,
this pain ā
all of it will pass.
But Your love never will.
Your grace never fails.
Your promise never lies.
Give me strength to endure,
patience to wait,
and wisdom to understand
that even when everything falls apartā¦
You are still here.
I love You, Lord.
Even imperfect.
Even stained.
Even in pieces.
Because what remains in meā¦
is still Yours.
