Lily is scared of dogs, no in fact she's terrified. She got bite one day while playing with one and since them she can't even be around a pupmy.

When she saw Sirius in his dog form for the first time she yelled so bad, climbing on a confused and panicked Remus, while crying that everyone started to be scared for her and Sirius felt so guilty to make her cry like that that he just run away out of the dorms and didn't reappears the whole days.

When finally he tried to sneak back in the dorms in the middle of the night he thought he was safe, Lily was nowhere to be see and everyone was sleeping. But at the moment he opened his bed's curtains he felt an hand blocking the screen of fear coming out of his mouth as he saw someone sitting on his red blanket.

Lily was in fact waiting him in his bed to comfort him about the fact it was not his fault, she told him everything about the dog when she was a kid and all and they just felt asleep in each other's arms.

After that they agreed to help Lily with her fear, knowing it was only Sirius was a lot more easier for her in fact and with some time she get used to his new form, even starting to softly pet him until she eventually get comfortable enough to hug a big black dog like a plush during her sleep.

James is fighting Sirius' adamant insistence to find someone else. And James finally snaps and asks if he hates his brother so damn much. The answer? Not really. Quite the contrary, in fact. Sirius has, in all aspects lost his brother the same way Regulus has lost him. But a primal fear awakens at the thought of James getting to have Regulus, when he cannot. That's his brother. James, who's always had so much everything, that giving becomes easy. James and his perfect family. James with all the love to give.

But Sirius was raised hungry and bereft. This is why he'd always been desperate for what James could give him and why he ate from his fingertips. Parents. A home. Reprieve. Safety. Why he soaked up Effie's mothering. Why his parents were the ones James had given him. Sirius who had nothing except for what James gives, because Sirius was a hungry child.

But Regulus was his. Regulus was the one true thing in his life that had been completely his. And he's terrified. He balks at the anger, the desperation, the ugly jealousy that rears its head at the prospect of James Potter (who he loves. Who he would die for. Who he admires. Who he can't help but idolize. James, who he has always envied.) becoming a home for Regulus, when Sirius still aches at their separation. Regulus is his brother. His.

James isn't the bad guy in this story but neither is Sirius. James has simply stumbled upon Sirius' pain. And Sirius isn't quite ready to be nice or good about any of it. Especially when it comes to James and Regulus. Respectively, his strength and weakness.

#okay but James being mad because HE needed to deal with his own jealousy too and never did anything against Sirius because of it 🧑‍🦯#like James needed to learn how to share so fast #passing from only child to having a brother #sharing his parents' love was probably the hardest #but he never talked about it and kept everything for him because its him who wanted Sirius to be a part of the family #if he had the choice he would 100% do it again #Sirius being safe is the most important for him #but still it was hard #so Sirius doing that would maybe be an exploding thing in James' head #can be pretty angstie #love the potential 👀

A huge issue I have have with this fandom is the (Young) Peter Pettigrew slander. Everyone goes ballistic bc he betrays the Potters and yada yada even though Regulus, Barty, Evan and any other death eater did pretty much the exact same thing.

So, I want to write a fic. Peter centric all about Peter discovering himself and his sexuality / identity while his friends all fall in love around him. (+ a couple other things)
