Pad Thai 1 ($$)

I was thinking about going to Taste of thai in West Ashley but someone recommended this place so decided to give it a try. It's by the railroad downtown Summerville, it is a tiny place with about 6 tables I think. I went there for Sunday lunch which was a regular dinner price, but I see they got lunch price under $10. Dinner price is around $13 for entrée, cheaper than most of thai restaurants in Charleston.

I ordered Pad kee maw, Tom kai gai and Prik King(I think that was the name of it. The one with string beans with red sauce), Everything was good but kinda sweet. I picked Medium spicy and it was pretty spicy for my Asian self lol so if you are not Really into spicy food, you might want to order as mild.

It gets packed quick since it's very a small place and had only 1 server working so avoid lunch/dinner time.

This place will be my to go thai restaurant from now on!

yea this is pretty much how i acted during my first haircut. In fact my mother actually had to sit in the chair while i sat in her lap bawling away. My old barber is more than happy to recount the whole thing like it was yesterday.

Meatball with Korean Style Spicy BBQ Sauce

(Yang-Nyeum-Tong-Dak Sauce)

Sauce : Korean red pepper paste 1/2TS, Korean red pepper powder 1/2TS, Soy sauce 1TS, Sugar 1TS, Chopped onion 1TS, Minced garlic 1TS, Honey 1TS, Ketchep 3TS, Grape Jelly 1TS, Water 4TS.

In a medium-low heat, cook onion and garlic with a lil bit of vegetable oil for about 2 mins, put the rest of ingredients then stir about 3mins. Mix with homestyle frozen Meatball and cook until the meatball is done. Enjoy!

If you are into Travel, International cuisine or Korea, I HIGHLY suggest you to watch this show. As someone studying culinary art and originally from korea, this show was so amazing to me. My goal this year is visiting korea this winter and go to the restaurant "Doo-Rae".

Spicy Teriyaki Shrimp with Steamed Rice & Fried Egg

Shrimp, Napa Cabbage, Bell Pepper, Baby Spinach, Zucchini & Onion.

I used my mom's homemade sauce, added korean red pepper powder and sesame seed. Steamed sushi rice and fried egg. My menu when I want less than 30mins to cook and I know I've been eating pretty bad for the week. Lots of veggie but taste great!
