Hi every!!!!!! My name's Penny (he/they/it) and I'm an aroace transmasc selfshipper in his 20s who loves thinking about his fictional families and best friends â and who's honestly tired of how hard it is to find any good prompts about that!
The point of this blog is to write & reblog non-romance specific prompts and and scenarios. Sometimes you'll see prompts that op had labeled romantic, but that are still so universally applicable to any affectionate relationship I just Yoink it.
All respect to op of course, not everyone is deep in the anti amatonormative trenches, but I'll take what I can get. If you want anything removed, just dm me ab it.

Parent F/O(s) who take a liking to you the first moment they see you, even if you arenât biologically theirâs, they treat you as if you are.
Parent F/O(s) who never yell or get upset at you when you make a mistake, they understand it was an accident. Itâs okay. They arenât angry at all, if itâs something that can be improved on (like a misspelling, accidentally adding too much salt in food etc.) theyâll help you, they wonât criticize and they will guide you as needed. If it was something like spilling water theyâll just help you clean it up, no big deal!
Parent F/O(s) who always make time for you, youâre their babyyyy :( (even if you arenât an actual one LOL) of course they have time for you! Even if they didnât they would make time. Youâre important to them.
Parent F/O(s) who always have a place to stay with them, be it long term or just for a visit. Theyâll always have space for you.
Parent F/O(s) who (if you have other parents/guardians) wonât get jealous if you spend time with your other family. They are more focused on if youâre happy or not.
Parent F/O(s) who pay attention to whatever youâre saying, they like listening (or seeing; if you use sign language) to you speak. Thereâs rarely a moment where they wonât listen, and if that moment comes theyâll make sure you get to finish your sentence later. They wonât forget.
Parent F/O(s) who donât forget you anywhere, call them and theyâll come. You donât need to explain.
Parent F/O(s) who believe you when youâre telling the truth, they donât accuse you of lying. They know you.

Even if youâre left with unfortunate stretched out clothes. Itâs only lucky they wonât borrow anything important.

Friendship can be just as intense as romance. Romance can be just as intense as friendship. There is no one over the other. There is human connection, there is the strength of the bond that varies based on the specific circumstances surrounding each relationship. There is love - it may be platonic or romantic or anything in between. There is love, and it simply presents different forms.

I wish I was a better writer so that I could rid the world of the 'omg you're like a sibling to me' plague in platonic prompts. I Get it, it's Cute, but it's not my thing bc i like friendships that r close enough they can kiss on the mouth, share a bed, and do all the gooey romance stuff without it being weird. Being siblings is Not Really what I'm looking for.
These have a mix of romantic and platonic. I'm going on a vacation soon and I don't think I'll be able to get the next chapter of my fic done before then so I'm making a lot of these for y'all to enjoy in the meantime. Feel free like always to use these for anything!

their friend group is physically affectionate with each other and they don't care what other people think about that
one character gets surprised with an intervention by their friends - bonus points if the problem theyâre talking about is actually not that serious
the whole friend group is living together - which is a dream and a nightmare in one
one character is sick and a bit of a handful as a patient, but they need someone to take care of them, so their friends rotate as the nurse
as their friends it was their job to check out any potential partner to see if they were worth being with their friend
the friend group loses one of their members during a parade/concert/event and are trying to find them
one character comes across a mystery in the neighborhood and they make their friends come with them to solve it
the friends wanted to have a fun night out, going to the movies or the bowling alley, but for some reason everything is closed and they have to find something else to do for fun
one of the characters has an important game or audition, etc. in a different city and their friends want to surprise them and drive there to support them. What follows is a chaotic roadtrip and the question: will they make it in time?

they missed the last train/bus and itâs the middle of the night and theyâre still 20 km away from the place they live/stay at
two of the characters are always bickering with each other and their friends have to figure out how to handle them together
having a chaotic friend group comes hand in hand with a truly unhinged group chat
they shared everything with their friend group, relying on their different opinions to come to a conclusion to any problem
they all met on the internet and itâs finally time for their first meeting in real life
