Fucking finally!!! That conversation needed to happen so badly. And finally Conrad is saying what everyone else won’t. If she didn’t love him at least a little, she would have told him to fuck off and it would not have been a struggle.

From laurel’s perspective, her daughter called off an ill fated wedding, said she needed space, disappeared for a whole day, and then called her sobbing saying she was on another continent and didn’t know what to do. Telling her to come home then was a logical response.
But when she called Jeremiah, she was much calmer. She told him she was doing the thing that she had wanted to do before she gave it up for him, and then very calmly explained that needed to find herself separate from him. His response then is to argue with her?! To tell her he knows who she is and he’ll tell her she just needs to come back?! To get snippy and tell her to never speak to him again when she holds her ground?!
TO GO TO COUSINS AND GIVE CONRAD SHIT ABOUT THE WHOLE THING FOR NO GOD DAMN REASON?!?!

I knew she called the school!!!! The people on TikTok who were like “who did she call?!” Immediately follow by a rant about how she couldn’t just go to Paris and assume there was a spot for her drove me crazy.
Obviously she called the school!! Did it work out for her, no. But I was still right!
No but the fact the whole “pickpockets shouldn’t mess with Americans” thing made it into this show had me cackling. I would’ve decked that guy too.

He sets his cup on his knee. “What d’you mean?” ----- James visits Lily the summer before seventh year, and accidentally, maybe, sort of learns she's Cokeworth's resident enigma. Just a little scene in the middle of their early months of dating, between sixth and seventh year of school.
