rough nightmare concept art

i drew him with the intent of him being more intimidating and scary. i thought it would make sense if he was tall to tower over others. i wanted to give him a slightly uncanny look but im not really good at that... he would be scary and tall because he wants to present himself as terrifying. he does this because he wants to cause fear in the innocent like they did to him. doing this irrationally out of pure negativity and hatred for what the villagers did to him

i also thought it would be interesting to see him as acidic in some way. he already is very acidic to dream or can cause him to melt, making me think if he would ne acidic to others. he wouldn't be terribly acidic although when making contact for a prolonged time it could cause chemical burns after. keeping his acidity low so he can still grab people with his tentacles. if he was acidic his skeletal body would've completely melted by this point, making mobility and shapeshifting much much easier.

also i headcannon his goop is incredibly pigmented and can stain others. POTENTIALLY representing how negative events and actions can leave a permanent mark on one's life...?? maybe? oo?? idk LOLL

yooo how do you pick your colors

i just use whatever colors look good imo, sometimes but rarely going with a color palette

although when im making an art piece i often try to have a specific color that will affect all the other colors. like if im working with purple in a piece thats primarily yellow (like in my recent cream art) i will make the purple slightly warmer, vice versa?? idk LOLL
