This is a video about the Magnum Opus of light artist James Turrel, commissioned by Lacma, a pretty cool museum based in LA. Why I love Turrels work: It is very very smart! He uses the movement of our planet to create stunning looking artworks with (day) light and most of the time in the middle of nowhere somewhere in nature. The artworks are very graphic and it makes you feel soooo tiny when you’re in there. For the Dutchies among us, there is actually a piece of him close by: it’s in the dunes near The Hague, look for “Hemels Gewelf”.
