Our wall of Starry Fame & Cosmic Inspiration! Front & center is the letter Carl Sagan's wife wrote to Brandon & I for our wedding this year. Advice from the woman who's brainwave activity recording (while freshly in love with Sagan) is traveling on the golden record outside of our solar system right this second on the Voyager probe. If aliens ever encounter it, it will be HER love that represents what human love "feels" like. Fun to think about. She says "Always assume the best of intentions on the part of the other. There's a kind of propogating effect that leads to higher and richer forms of joy. And, give it everything you've got. In my experience this not only makes for happier days, but also, a sustaining comfort in the far distance." Thank you Dad, for these priceless gifts. And Kat for the TARDIS. "They should've sent a poet" was all I could say besides our chorus of "oh my god's." I am forever changed. That was the most beautiful thing I've ever witnessed on this planet, and Instagram be dammed, because there's nothing like witnessing such a vision in person. I dropped my phone at my side soon after this, realizing no photos or video can do justice to the visuals. I thought I knew what to expect, but that was other-worldly. So thankful to have had the experience with my family & husband, to whom I clung to when I saw that we're all just animals clinging to the face of this rock. Addicted.
