So things are, or should I say, seem to be under control for now. Much work is done, computer is running fine, and problems are.. ehhh.. still here to stay but not too pressing. Which means…. I CAN DO SOME SUPER HERO CLOCK ARTWORK!
Do you miss these dudes 'cause I miss these dudes
It sure is a breath of relief doing something fun that we like after going through hell-ish times. I sure did have fun doing this one. While working on this, I thought of artwork for Richie, Rozella, Tick and his friends, Daron and his team, and even Crimson - which would all be awesome to work on. I could do more actually, but although things are okay-er now, I still have a feeling I'm not quite out of the woods yet so - just one artwork. Besides, doing artwork is a fun thing and it's always worth saving the fun things for last right?
Also, if you've done any Super Hero Clock artwork yourself or happen to spot any SHC artwork, be sure to send it my way. When I have collected enough, I would do another "Super Hero Clock Fanart Time!" post!
IIIIIIT'S... SUPER HERO CLOCK FANART TIME!!!
I keep posting about SHC stuff from me but I decided I should do something different this time. So this time, I'll be posting SHC stuff from YOU!
As the title says it, this post will feature all the Super Hero Clock artwork done by fans (that I can find) out there! Starting with the oldest ones I can find which are done by VulcanEnki on DeviantArt.
SHC fanart by VulcanEnki
Since Super Hero Clock was a Newgrounds thing back in the day some fanart can also be found on Newgrounds. Here are some which are proly as old as VulcanEnki's. This one is by TheUnseriousguy on Newgrounds.

And these are by Manuel-Dangelo

Of course there are a few random ones scattered on the internet. I can remember a few of them but when I went back to where I found them, some of them are gone. Well things get lost over time sometimes. So here are the ones I managed to find.
SHC fanart by ToraSayo
Tick Bender fanart by Nakiknt whom I believe is also NakiEidoh
This one's actually really cool and pretty clever I'd say - A banner poster of a Super Hero Clock live-action feature film!
Super Hero Clock live-action feature film movie banner poster concept made by Rakusa
Then there are videos too! The Minecraft version of the original 2007 SHC animation by JackKnight921 which I posted last year. It's the biggest SHC fan production I've seen so far and it totally deserves another shoutout.
And there's SHC fanart speeddraw videos! These are from Nattaly Ara's Youtube channel.
And recently, a fan on Twitter/X who goes by the tag @kasekihorider did a Time Hero fanart.
Well I guess that's a wrap, for now. From all these fanart I can say Super Hero Clock actually became popular to some extent. For being an original indie experimental creation, I didn't expect the first episode to even get noticed or get such positive reception at all. After coming this far, I can't express how happy I am for how things turned out for SHC. I really appreciate all these fanart! For all the dedication put into them and undying support for Super Hero Clock, I thank YOU!

It's the new year, again. I know the fans are still waiting. I really hoped that I could start working on episode 3 in 2023 but then life just keeps me distant from Super Hero Clock with a shit ton of unnecessary problems. I was in the middle of a move and I had to tear down my workspace. My workspace is still not properly set up yet, there's a life's stock of stuff to unpack and sort out and amidst that hassle, my computer is dying.
But heck, I'm just gonna take a breather for a bit this new year's holiday time. GOD DAMN PROBLEMS, YOU JUST WAIT...
Aaanyway, with all those things going on, I thought I wasn't gonna be able to do any projects in 2023 and had to call it another hiatus year BUUUUT in December, I actually joined an animation collab and did some artwork - both featuring Time Havoc.
Time Havoc looking like he's in a meat glitch
If you've been following this Super Hero Clock blog, you'll know Time Havoc from the time when I was in the Hyun's Dojo Duel Tournament back in 2017.
So the collab I joined is a Hyun's Dojo collab called "Watch Paint Dry" hosted by Hyun, the dojo master himself. In a nutshell, entrants will be asked to submit an animation sequence of a character's entrance into the scene and ends with a still or a looping animation showing the character looking at a wall that has been freshly painted. Sounds pretty simple right? The animation in the GIF above shows Time Havoc eating a chicken drumstick infinitely, but that's not the end looping animation. There is more to how he's gonna watch paint dry of course. Anyway according to Hyun, it's gonna be a looooong collab. Can't wait to see the whole video when it's done!
Also, during Christmas, the dojo had another art event called "Secret Santa". Basically, participants sign up with a prompt of what to draw and then when signups are closed, participants will receive a prompt from another participant. Throughout the time of the event, participants are not allowed to disclose who's prompt they received and what they are drawing.
The event is over now. All the secret santas have been announced. The "secret santa" who did my prompt was red_back_.
My prompt was Time Havoc walking away leaving behind a bunch of dead stickmen in a blood-stained snow-covered area.
Didn't turn out as I pictured it but I think red_back_ had a more awesome depiction. It brings out Time Havoc's true character and darkness.
As for me, the prompt that I got was to draw a robot doing the family guy death pose and a monster petting a cat. I think I was quite lucky to get this prompt because I was able to fit Time Havoc in the artwork.
Time Havoc actually fits in this prompt well!
If you happen to be a member of Hyun's Dojo Discord community, you'll understand why it's a purple robot with a rainbow-colored party hat. It was quite fun working on this artwork.
So can I say Super Hero Clock this year is about Time Havoc kicking ass in the snow and then going on to watch paint dry? LOL
Anyway, Merry Belated Christmas and Happy New Year guys!
Minecraft Super Hero Clock Fan Animation by JackKnight921!
-Posted on the original website on: June 15, 2023
Soooooo... in the midst of the (almost) dead silence concerning Super Hero Clock, I woke up one morning and found a Super Hero Clock fan animation, which I just HAD to post about.
This animation is based on the 2007 original SHC Newgrounds Flash movie. It was made by a Youtuber called JackKnight921 using Blockbuster in Minecraft. The plot sequence is pretty much the same as the original but unlike the original, it contains extra shot sequences from episode 1 like Time Hero cutting the enemy's weapon in half and Rozella aiming her phone at the Time Hero to capture a picture of him.
Although I'm not a Minecraft fan, I'm actually impressed by this production. I personally love the rendering quality and the rather detailed city scape environment, and not to mention HOW CUTE MINECRAFT TICK ACTUALLY LOOKS! XD
Minecraft Super Hero Clock - Hats off to JackKnight for the amount of dedication put into making this video.
As for what's going on with the series now, well, tbh I haven't had the chance to work on it since I released the last part of episode 2 in 2018. I have written the next 2 episodes but haven't progressed any further from there. There has been many things going on over the past few years. Too many that I can't avoid but I'm working as hard as I can to nail them all down. Seeing fan work of my series by people out there makes me feel happy and grateful because it is a sign that Super Hero Clock still lives on in the hearts of many all over the world even after all these years. Their enthusiasm gives me the motivation to continue making more Super Hero Clock videos. Therefore, rest assured, I WILL be back in the SHC dimension as soon as I can.

It's another no-show-ish year for Super Hero Clock again because, as usual, I was working on a sidetrack animation. Again. This time, it's called "Lucio Man X".
Lucio has an animated short now.
If you guys are familiar with the sequences in this animation, you will be able to tell it's an Overwatch-Mega Man X crossover. I know everyone loves Mega Man X (including myself) but Overwatch... ehh... well reception is quite polarized? I'd say? But anyway, doesn't the Mega Man X characters' stereotypes match the Overwatch characters' stereotypes really well? Honestly, I think Overwatch could have been Lucio's game. And that if Overwatch had its own cartoon series, it would look like this anime. But that's just my thoughts. Although, it looks like the perfect fit in terms of crossover, the catch to it is there are hardly any gamers that love both games equally.
Now that that is done and set aside, I hope that it's the last sidetrack animation that I've gone through. I'm going back to Super Hero Clock after this. It's been too long now. It might take me awhile because it's been helluva rough year and there are still 2 months to go. Welp, till next time, happy holidays in advance!

Do You Remember That 500k Subs Special Video I Mentioned Before?... It's DONE! FINALLY! So What's Next For SHC?
-Posted on the original website on: January 6, 2022
If you guys read what I post on this website, you'd remember I posted something about a 500k subscriber special video some two years ago. I also said it's something for Christmas... right? Well, anyway, it's finally done. Behold... the biggest and longest and probably the most boringest animated anime movie I've EVER made... Detective Pikachu ~A Christmas Case~!!
So it's a Pokemon movie, Detective Pikachu movie, Christmas movie and supposed to be a 500k subscriber special. I obviously missed that last one because my channel is well over 700k subs now, and a liiittle bit off the second last one if you checked its upload date. But anyways, if you just want to watch a good Pokemon Detective Christmas movie, this animation should be perfect for you.
I know you guys must be thinking, "Alright so what about Super Hero Clock?" Well, I ALSO did mention that I've already typed out episodes 3 and 4. Now that I'm free, I'm not gonna continue working on those just yet. Since, I had been seeing nothing but Detective Pikachu for the past two years, I've missed quite a few things that I need to catch up on. I'm also gonna compile an animation production procedure documentation thingy which is a bit of post-production technical stuff aaaand probably do some Twitch streams.... if I still remember how to.
Aaaanywho, if all go smoothly, I should be able to continue working on SHC soon. And when I do, you'll be the first to know!
First Post Of The Year! WOW! New Time Hero Artwork!
-Posted on the original website on: July 19, 2021
It's crazy how I don't post for over a year and fans think I'm not doing what I do anymore or disappeared (from the web)... and then I post something again. Well, unlike other artists who post their work and WIPs regularly, I prefer to use my time to do my work. Aaand that said, I am currently past the most painstaking phases of production of my Detective Pikachu fan animation!! Yay!
Toward the end of those phases, I had some time to do some quick and simple Super Hero Clock artwork. Here's Time Hero springing into action!
Anyway, again, if you wanna get quick and faster updates you can follow me on Twitter @JessTheDragoon and enable Push Notifications for my twitter account so that you get notified straight away after I tweet something. I don't post often so you don't have to worry about being notified with tweets from me every few seconds.
Aaand that's pretty much it for now. Here's a WIP from my Detective Pikachu animation so far if you're curious. Imma head back to work. Working conditions are gonna be rough from here on so... wish me luck! ;)
When I Thought COPPA Was Bad Enough, There's CORONAVIRUS... Current Project Updates and... I'm On Twitch Now!
-Posted on the original website on: April 13, 2020
You guys haven't heard from me in a while, yes I know, but rest assured, I'm ok despite what's going on throughout the entire world right now. COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus, has forced people into confinement not knowing when life will be back to normal again. This quarantine life however, doesn't affect me much because well... as an indie animator and artist, I pretty much live life at home by default and I'm quite used to it. The only thing about that that affects me is I can't go out for walks or fresh air anymore when I need to clear my head. So trying to stay sane has become more challenging in that sense.
Work work work work werk werk WERK
If you guys have read my previous post or even the post before that, you'll know I've been working on this HUGE project about a talking Pikachu that claims itself as a great detective, which is the reason why Super Hero Clock is on hold. Again.
I started working on my Detective Pikachu fan animation September last year and so far, I've done over 15 minutes of its raw animation. At this point, I've only just past the middle of the whole animation. Since I work on it at home, the quarantine where I live shouldn't affect work progress and I can still carry on with the rest of the animation pretty much as usual - which is a good thing.
If you guys haven't noticed already, I've been trying to be more active on Twitter these days. I have posted WIP screenshots, GIFs and quick updates on this Detective Pikachu project there, which I don't post here. Of course, I tweet other random stuffs as well when I'm bored. Here's my Twitter if you wanna follow me there.
This quarantine though, HAS made me do one thing that I keep dilly-dally -ing about - streaming on Twitch. I always thought chances of me being able to hang out with internet friends (or maybe just online acquaintances) in real life was slim. But now, it is obvious that there is no chance for that to happen at all, even if quarantine is over. So I thought that the only way I could possibly get a "better social life" or just reach out to people is to do online streaming. Hence, I've set up my Twitch channel. It's still new and pretty much blank but I'll try my best to find some time to stream some stuff, which would mostly be games. I do speak in some streams so yea, maybe I could talk to you guys sometime! Feel free to follow me on Twitch!
Although the global lockdown due to this virus outbreak is not really a problem to me, I am aware that a lot you guys out there who are extroverts are having a hard time staying at home or staying sane at home or just trying to survive. Humanity is facing its hardest challenge yet. But as long as we keep our heads, we should be able to pull through. Be stronger, be smarter, and you'll be safe.
Take a deep breath, keep calm and stay focused... AND WORK
Some Quick Updates On Current Project Status And Lunar New Year!
-Posted on the original website on: January 26, 2020
Hey guys! Just a quick update blog here. I'm still working on the Detective Pikachu fan animation. If you guys have been following me on Twitter, you'll know I've uploaded a preview of it to my Youtube channel on Christmas. You can watch it below if you missed it. And because of that, Super Hero Clock production is still on hold. Hopefully, HOPEFULLY, I can go back to working on it after completing this Detective Pikachu fan animation.
Also, here's a little something cute for you guys to squee on throughout the Lunar New Year season.
Wow... It's Been A While... SHC Episodes 3 And 4 And 500k Subs Special Video!
-Posted on the original website on: September 14, 2019
Like the title says, WOWwww.... Sure has been a while since I posted ANYTHING here and elsewhere. I was really REALLY busy. Here's what's been going on.
I was writing a lot of stuff, hence, doing a hell load of typing. First it was Super Hero Clock episode 3 and 4. That was way back in around May. Those are finished but that's just the story part of the episodes.
And then I realized that my Youtube channel was closing in on the 500,000-subscriber milestone so I decided to do a special animation for that. Now for this animation, the type of story wasn't really my cup of tea. So the writing (some more typing) part was quite a challenge. After weeks of cramping my brain on how to write that story, I finally finished it. Just so to NOT waste time, I jumped straight into drawing the storyboard for it after that. After about four weeks, the storyboard is done, which brings us to now. Here's that pile of storyboard:
That right there is 34 pages of storyboard for that 500k subs special animation. I'm aware that my channel subscriber count now is well over 500k and I COULD have jumped straight into the animating process but I thought it'd be fair that I posted some update here, so that you guys know what's going on and this website is not dead. About this special animation, I'm pretty excited and a little nervous about it. I'm not gonna say what it's about just to keep the element of surprise but I'll say one thing about it - it's also for Christmas. But if you've been following my posts on my Facebook pages and group, you might know one more thing about it.
Alright! As for Super Hero Clock, well, obviously like I mentioned above, only the story for episode 3 and 4 are done. It would be awkward to post screenshots for that because there's nothing but walls of text. So I decided to do a quick illustration of episode 3.
It's just quick art so pardon the messiness. This is probably not a precise depiction but... yeah. Do you all miss Richie?
Welp, that's all for now. Anything you wanna tell me or ask just drop'em in the comments below. I DO read comments and I MIGHT reply yours.
This 500k subs special is gonna be a loooong run. Wish me luck guys!
The Super Hero Clock Story And Pusheen's Valentine
-Posted on the original website on: February 20, 2019
After the HTTYD anime video I was really looking forward and excited about continuing the SHC series story and maybe write another episode or two, and maybe even start working on episode 3.
But then, it was late December. It was the regular year-end holiday season with big holidays like New Year's Day, Lunar New Year and Valentine's Day happening in a row from then until mid February. Out of these holidays, one of them has been on my watch for years - Valentine's Day.
I've always wanted to do a Valentine's day video but had not been able to come up with a suitable story for a Valentine's Day animation. I even thought of a romantic spin-off of the story of St. Valentine and how Valentine's Day started back in the day but I did not go with that because I had doubts about that one. It was kinda a meh-ish lame anime imo tbh. However, this Valentine's, I finally came up with (or could I say found) the perfect Valentine's Day story for the occasion - Pusheen's Valentine.
I know it doesn't sound epic or cool or anything, and you might think it's childish, but it was the perfect idea, I think, because Pusheen is an adorable figure and I found out that people do get Pusheen merchandise as Valentine's Day gifts. That was when I decided that my Valentine's Day special animation would be about Pusheen the Cat's Valentine.
Valentine's only happens once a year. It was either now or wait for another year. I went with the former and the next one and half months was officially the first animation crunch time of 2019, which explains why there is still no new Super Hero Clock stuff. However, while animating Pusheen's Valentine, I snuck in some shades of SHC characters in the Pusheen world. If you guys have watched the video and know the SHC characters, you might have noticed them.
Honestly, I did that because I was too lazy to come up with custom character designs for the humans in the video which were not a crucial part of it. Besides, it just feels unfair for the SHC fans that there hasn't been any substantial new SHC stuff since episode 2. So yea. I'm just doing a Pusheen fan animation. Why not?
And hey I even did a wardrobe cameo! (You'll only notice if you've watched SHC episode 2 tho.)
So now that those holidays are done for the year, (hopefully) I can sit down and work on the Super Hero Clock story. It's gonna be a good relief from working on the past two fan animations because there will be no round animals or dragons that behave like dogs. Personally, I'm much more comfortable with human designs and the anime genre.
While I continue the SHC story, enjoy the cuteness!
Oh and by the way, if you've read my previous blog post or have completely missed, I published this on Youtube during Christmas. Check it.
Sidetrack Complete! HTTYD Anime, SHC Japanese Dubbed Teaser And Christmas Time!!!
-Posted on the original website on: December 12, 2018
Sooo..... After wrapping up SHC episode 2 in July, I sidetracked to do a fan anime for Dreamworks' How To Train Your Dragon. If you have been following me on Instagram, you would know what I was up to. The video is now complete and uploaded on Youtube, which means I'm done sidetracking. For now.
At the same time that video was uploaded, JohnWangVO and a few other awesome voice over artists made a Japanese dub version of the Super Hero Clock Teaser Trailer from way back in 2012.
View on Twitter
This makes my inner weeb cry tears of joy. And my current animator self cry tears of disgust looking at how bad my animation was back then...
It's only a couple weeks away from Christmas and the new year and I feel like doing something this year to go with the holiday vibe. If you are curious, here are some clues:
- It's another video for my Youtube channel.
- It is, again, not an SHC video (unfortunately... sorry DX).
- It's a music video.
And this is one frame of it.
Then again, if you have been following me all this time, you'll know which video I'm talking about. You have probably even seen it. If you've guessed it right you can drop your answer in the comments below... or keep everybody else in suspense until it's on Youtube. Like a Christmas surprise present!
Welp, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Just Wrapped Up SHC Episode 2 And Created A Goal In Patreon!
-Posted on the original website on: July 14, 2018
After two Pokemon GO Pokerap videos, four Dojo Duel Tournament animation entries, some "Overwatch time" and a little bit of slack, Super Hero Clock episode 2 is finally done! If those 6 videos were SHC episode parts, we would have more than 3 episodes of SHC now would we? But hey, life doesn't really let you do what you want.
Anyway, SHC episode 2 finale is now out on Patreon and episode 2 part 4 is sent out to SHC Fan Club members so be sure to check your inboxes and spam emails. I've also updated my Patreon page with a goal. The goal states that if I can get $500 per animation, I will find a better place to live and work on my animations. I think it's not an ambitious goal, but rather a reasonable one. If I can collect more funds, I can improve my working environment thus reducing the probability of falling ill and speeding up work progress.
So now that episode 2 is done, I'm not gonna jump straight into animating episode 3 because I have to write the story first. And while I work on the story, I might put up some other short animations to Youtube to at least make my channel NOT DEAD for the rest of this year. But of course, I really do hope I can finish writing the story fast and begin episode 3 production. We are down 2 episodes so another one shouldn't be that freakishly overwhelming anymore. Right?
What better way to wrap up work then with a weekend of World Cup football, sleep and fresh air? Welp, enjoy the finals! ;)
SHC Episode 2 Part 4 Is Out On Patreon And Part 3 For SHC Fan Club Members!
-Posted on the original website on: April 12, 2018
Wow it's really hard to blog-post these days! There's hardly any spare time for me to type updates and stuff here while dealing with animation work and a whole bunch of sh*t problems in life.
But anyway, if you are a Patreon, SHC episode 2 part 4 is already done! And if you are an SHC Fan Club member, you should have already received the link to watch episode 2 part 3! So be sure to check your emails guys.
Episode 2 part 5
With that set aside, episode 2 is only one part away from conclusion - part 5. Like episode 1 part 5, it's gonna be a short one. If you guys have watched episode 2 part 4, the next part will be a follow-up of the showdown in part 4 ... and of course, a conclusion to the whole episode. If everything goes well, I will start working on ep 2 part 5 in a few week's time or probably even sooner. I'm actually quite excited to finish this episode and can't wait to start working on part 5 because when it is finished, I will have 10 episode parts of Super Hero Clock! Yay!!
Welp, that's a quick update for ya'll! I'm gonna go rest up and get ready for part 5!
Kicking Off The New Year With SHC Episode 2 Part 4 Production!
-Posted on the original website on: January 13, 2018
Happy New Year.... well half of January is almost gone but anyways, I've started working on SHC episode 2 part 4! Actually character animation was already done in December last year in between playing Overwatch and rest. After New Year's day, I jumped straight into compositing the scenes and shots. About 10 days later, which is right before the time of typing this post, all the scene compositions are done! Next up will be backgrounds... that might take a while.
Progress (I think) will be slow this year because the rest and time off after the tournament last year wasn't quite enough although it was a long and good one. I had a lot of catching up to do on things I missed throughout the tourney alongside some petty problems to take care of and of course ep2 part 4 character animation. My right hand still hurts and I'm currently working on the computer with my left hand. It's most likely RSI due to using the computer mouse too much. I could blame myself for over-playing Overwatch but then it could also be because I work on the computer too much. Speaking of my work, when March 2018 comes, it marks that I have been an animator for 10 years, not counting the one-year hiatus I had back in 2009... so that would be 10 years of muscle stress - something impossible to heal in just a couple of months.
This year is gonna be rough. While I have to rest more often, I'll try to at least finish up ep 2 part 4. Here are WIP screenshots. Nothing much but.. ya. Gonna go get some rest.
Winning The Animation Tournament, Time Havoc And Rest Is Next
-Posted on the original website on: November 11, 2017
After all the pain, blood and sweat "dueling" in this year's Hyun's Dojo Duel Animation Tournament, I finally won! My duelist, Time Havoc is officially the champion and he is now part of Hyun's Dojo lore as a wanted criminal. This was what the Dojo committee told me after the results were announced. Sounds interesting, doesn't it?
If you guys have been wondering, Time Havoc and Tick Bender are two different individuals. Time Havoc is like Tick's evil clone if you will. If you have noticed, they are not completely identical.
So now that the tournament is over, I will be going back to working on Super Hero Clock episode 2. But before I do that, I'm going to get some rest because I NEED it. The tournament lasted for about 7 months when it was supposed to last only about 4 because there had to be some time extensions for a couple of rounds. A lot of the contestants needed more time to finish their entries and the Dojo didn't want them to forfeit. Throughout the tournament, I had to complete 4 animations, ranging from 30 seconds to 1 minute in length, each within about a month's or so period of time. In short, I finished making one animation in about a month for four times. I have never met such tight deadlines and honestly, it was hell. During the rounds of the tournament, all I did was practically eat, sleep, animate, repeat. No social media, no TV. I didn't even get out of the house. I only did those in between rounds when judging was going on but there still wasn't much time to recuperate from the stress.
I could jump straight back to SHC but it could be life-threatening. I know we all miss SHC but for me right now health is priority. Besides that, I've missed a lot during the tournament and there is much catching up to do. I don't know how much time I will take to rest up because I really over-stressed my body during the tourney. But as soon as I get better and am ready to start working on SHC episode 2 part 4, I'll be sure to drop a line here or on Facebook and Twitter.
Guess that's pretty much everything about the tourney (and practically this whole year). Alright, back to sleep!
