“You don’t need water to feel like you’re drowning, do you?”
— Jodi Picoult (Nineteen Minutes)
It’s nights like these where I think my husband and daughter are better without me
Its really rare, but today, while having a breakdown at work, all I wanted to do was call my grandmom and have her tell me it’d all be okay.
Flying at 15: radio blasting in your car belting song lyrics
Flying at 27: radio blasting in the kitchen belting songs and dancing with our daughter
“Those who love you are not fooled by mistakes you have made, or by dark images you hold about yourself. They remember your beauty when you feel ugly; your wholeness when you are broken; your innocence when you feel guilty; and your purpose when you are confused.”
— Alan Cohen
Zoltán Böszörményi, The Dust of My Existence (trans. Paul Sohar)
“I am made of quiet storms washing themselves away.”
— Fray Narte
There'll be a moment when you realise you're 27 when yesterday you were just 17; and you wouldn't be able to tell how a decade passed away and your life got divided into before and afters. The fury of youth will subdue and nothing will really change but everything will feel different when you look at old photographs and blurry videos taken on cheap mobile phones. Scents will remind you of childhood and certain friends you don't talk to anymore, hangouts will become reunions and mom's burnt pie will become the best food you ever had. And I know on some days you won't be able to show anything of those 10 years but I hope you remember to breathe, and let go of the knot in your chest. I hope you go out in the sun and live a little, because tomorrow is 37.
Edit- I added the visualizer for this piece on my YT, check it out here

I haven’t wanted to hurt myself in a long time.
But tonight, it’s taking everything in me not to rip my skin apart.
I love when he reminds me that shes proud. I got my degrees in her honor. Just a bonus that he calls me her favorite ❤️
I hope I’m a good father.
He’s the best father 💗
I wish I could talk to someone without feeling like a burden
