Question for fun: what type of textile work does this costitute? When someone asks what i do for i hobby i say "diy fashion" but i can never answer what i exactly do instead of just "sew patches." Would this be considered applique if i wanted to add a fancy word to it? I've been calling it "embroidering jeans" since i use an embroidery hoop, embroidery thread, and embroidery needle to do it, but I don't think this method counts as embroidery since the primary purposes of the stitches, while also decorative, are to fasten patches onto pants.
