Promotional postcard and banner for Cartoon Art Museum, Savage Dragon: The Art of Erik Larsen exhibit, February, 2015.
Promotional banner for Cartoon Art Museum, Songs and Secrets: The Art of Song of the Sea and The Secret of Kells exhibit, February, 2015.
Promotional postcard and banner for Cartoon Art Museum, Slinging Satire: Masters of Political Cartoons exhibit, October, 2014. The original elements -- characters from a variety of cartoonists featured in the show, background, and flotation devices -- were assembled by Mark Fiore; I just rearranged them for the museum's exhibit materials.
Promotional postcard and banner for Cartoon Art Museum, Stranger Than Life: The Cartoons and Comics of M.K. Brown exhibit, August, 2014.
Promotional postcard and banner for Cartoon Art Museum, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles exhibit, May, 2014.
Promotional flyers for Cartoon Art Museum, Sunday Storytime Hour, May, 2014. The kitty cat artwork is from Long Tail Kitty by Lark Pien.
Promotional banner for the Cartoon Art Museum, Raw Fury: The Art of Mike Zeck exhibit, April, 2014.
Promotional banner for the Cartoon Art Museum, Pretty in Ink: The Trina Robbins Collection exhibit, April 2014. This exhibit was based on Trina Robbins's recent book, Pretty in Ink, so the banner design was inspired by Fantagraphics' book cover design (although I redesigned the logo for better readability at a distance -- typically, for these front window banners, we want to be able to read the logo from across the street). The drawing of the girl is from the comic strip Flapper Fanny by Ethel Hays.
Event poster for the Cartoon Art Museum, The Illustrated James Bond 007. March, 2014, San Francisco.
Promotional banner for the Cartoon Art Museum, Grains of Sand: 25 Years of the Sandman exhibit, October 2013. This is another one where all I really did was assemble the pieces: the beautiful logo design is by Ryan Graff, the illustration of Death is of course by the amazing Dave McKean.
Promotional banner for Cartoon Art Museum, Searle in America exhibit on the art of British illustrator and cartoonist Ronald Searle, November 2013. Susan Bradley at Pixar created the logo design; I just dropped in Searle's fabulous Lucille Ball. I really love the simplicity of this one.
