An archive of indie games. Start browsing and discover hidden gems!
I created this blog to help people find the plethora of indie games out there and support true indie developers.
What is an indie game? An indie game is a game developed by individuals or small teams without financial or creative control from major, external publishers (ie. Tencent, EA, etc).
Examples of indie games: Stardew Valley, Fields of Mistria, Paralives, Wax Heads, Sticky Business, The Cat Lady, Detention, Treeplanter, A Shelter Full of Cats, Tiny Bookshop, etc
These are the games that this blog focuses on and promotes.
What types of games won't be found here? 1) Games made by studios that claim to be "independent" but are actually owned by a major company For example: Animula Nook. The developers, LilliLandia Games, claim that they are an independent company, but that's a lie. They are owned by Tencent, the $500 billion company responsible for juggernauts such as PUBG MOBILE, League of Legends, and Fortnite. Therefore, Animula Nook is NOT an indie game, regardless of how many times they say it is. 2) Games that use generative AI. If AI was used to make the game (the art, the music, etc), it won't be promoted here. AI is slop. This blog supports artists.
3) Any game that its intent is to hurt people or to purposefully be offensive.
Please feel free to message me with any games that I'm missing, with any category you think I should add, or if there are any mistakes.
Happy gaming!
