When you have a lot going on, you really have to squeeze your observational drawing practice in whenever you get the chance. This is a bunch of 15 second drawings of my daughter from her dance class (it was her class’s turn to allow parents to watch.) I only managed this much before I had to go outside and deal with my acid reflux (trying not to throw up outside in the cold air is by my experience far preferable to trying not to throw up in a public bathroom.)

I went to see the Royal Ballet’s revival of Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and all I got was a life enhancing artistic experience and a LOT of 10 second sketches from memory frantically scribbled before the lobby closed.
