At the Ballet (c.1880-1881). Edgar Degas (French, 1834-1917). Pastel.
From her front row box seat, a woman watches the ballet performance while holing a fan and opera glasses. As was common in the works of Degas, the scene is cropped, in this case permitting a fuller view of the dancers in the foreground, particularly the one wearing yellow, and less of the patron and the large group of dancers in the background..

Ethereal Terrarium Jewelry
Polish boutique Mariaela creates handmade items inspired by romanticism, the enchanting forests, flowers and nature’s earthly beauty. By melting the glass and the ceramic by hand, each piece is a completely unique and ecological creation from inspiration and hard work.
The delicate and woodland pieces are made from real flowers, which are pressed and preserved in glass. You can find her entire collection of terrarium jewelry in her Etsy shop.
