It is a time consuming process that usually requires a separate shift, so we only offer this occasionally. This is my last slice of cake, as my husband Chris discovered he loves this chocolate cake as well. He rarely eats dessert, so I didn’t think he would have any, so I had my days of indulging planned out. He said he took a small sliver, then another and another. If you love Vanilla Pound cake and Chocolate you will love our Marble Pound Cake. Traditionally most marble cake is created by folding cocoa into the vanilla batter then it is swirled in. It was always a very subtle and understated flavor to me. I would close my eyes and I was certain that I was only eating vanilla cake. That is why we marble ours with Dark Chocolate Ganache, which imparts such an intense flavor. Since we are usually at the shop on Saturdays, it was such a treat for me to go to @stratfordfarmersmarket. Of course I had to get my Apple Raisin doughnuts after having a wonderful breakfast with Chris and Jordan. The Banana and Walnut French Toast was wonderful. And @sassanoscatering for dinner. When I was in high school that was a Saturday outing with my family.
