Stewart Armstrong Copeland (born July 16, 1952) is a musician and composer. He is best known as the drummer for the band The Police. After The Police ended Copeland was through with pop/rock music and pursued a career as a composer, composing a number of prolific film scores, operas, ballets, and even video games. He has been on various “ Greatest Drummers” List. In 2003 he was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Police. Copeland is a skilled drummer and is considered to have “distinctive drum sound and uniqueness of style that has made one of the most popular drummers to get behind the set”. I know he enjoys making music and will continue to do so.
