I’ve been seeing this guy & we’re basically just fuck buddies but I caught feelings idk if he feels the same way but I want us to be more than fuck buddies, but idk how to bring it up or start the conversation, any advice?

Test the waters by sharing little snippets of your personal life, but do it sparingly. Nudge him to reciprocate. If he does not respond well, then it is not meant to be. If he does, you can gradually increase the depth/frequency of sharing, and eventually a bond will be formed between you two.

Ask: i’ve had a crush on this guy for a year now and i’m really sad because i feel like maybe he liked me last year but my social anxiety started to get worse and i feel like i completely lost his interest, i can’t help but feel so unwantable every time i show symptoms of my mental illness, i’m really scared i drive everyone away when they find out about those parts about me, especially someone like him, who i view as perfect, im so mad at myself for not having the courage to tell him how i feel, but i’d also be mad at myself for telling him because i haven’t learned to manage my anxiety or depression yet so i don’t think i’m ready to take on a relationship, i’m close friends with him, which kinda sucks because being around him can be so great sometimes but it just feels like a painful reminder of everything i could have if i could just be in control of my mental illness, if that makes sense. i don’t know what i should do, am i doing the right thing?? or am i just telling myself i’m not ready as an excuse to not be vulnerable?? @toluvleedays

Answer: I feel you, gal, I feel you more than you know. You don't need to force yourself to get into a relationship too soon - if you're not ready, you're not ready. Take it slow. Enjoy your close friendship while it lasts. There is a something special in friendship that love cannot offer. But always remember: continue to work on managing your anxiety. Never stop working on it. Maybe one day you'll be ready.

I have a crush, but she’s a coworker. I dont know if she likes me too. She has subtle acts that make me think she does. She’s single but seems a little distant sometimes. How will you know if someone likes you back?

You'll know if someone likes you back through their eye contact most of all, and sometimes their choice of words. If she's being hot and cold, it might be because she's trying not to be too obvious, since this is the workplace. Let things play out a little longer, then perhaps you can try and test the waters. @zorrocruzz

Im in love with my best friend, Yesterday he ask who broke my heart, I can't say its him,, its not his fault. Now he's mad at me because I'm not telling him the truth, he's like, "We're best friend, we supposed to tell each other" I said "EXACTLY, because we're best friend, and im not supposed to ruin it" He's still mad i think, i don't know what to do, he got a crush (thats very likely turn into gf in the future),if i confessed won't it be putting him on a tight spot and ruin everything

Just because you are best friends, you do not have to tell each other everything. You have the right to retain what you do not feel comfortable saying, even if the one who broke your heart wasn't him. The first thing you need to be aware of here is that he does not have the right to force you to say anything, whatever it is about. A best friend would be more understanding.

Tell him that you need to keep this to yourself, and that you need to deal with it on your own. Yes, you're right it would put both him and you in a tight position and you do not want to ruin your friendship. Not telling, for the time being, is the right choice. @heradeus

So my crush is a guy who is a year younger than me, in my spanish class. He and I have a friendship,we show each other memes and play video games together. When we talk, we talk about what we've done over the weekend or things we are looking forward to. He jokes and I like that. I am a year older than him though. I don't talk to as many people as he does. Everytime we see each other in the hallway we make eye contact and smile at each other. His laugh is-oh my god. How do I tell him I like him?

Your friendship still seems to be skimming the surface, like that of any casual friend whom you spend a lot of time with. He may not be ready for it. Go a little deeper, take it slow, ask him a few random questions (and let him ask you some) that may give both of you further insight into your personalities. It will strengthen your bond.

After you feel both of you have gotten to know each other more personally, you may hint it to him subtly by remembering the little, unexpected things and reminding him about them. It will bring your feelings to his attention.
