FULL MOON IN ARIES ON 09/24/18
The Full Moon in Aries (Harvest Moon) will occur on September 24th, 2018 in two degree Aries.
With the Sun-Moon opposition (which marks a Full Moon) occurring between Aries and Libra this time around, the tug between the self and the other will be highlighted. We will be called to balance our assertions for ourselves and for others. It’s important to look at the two houses where the opposition is personally happening for you, for it will often call for a balance between these two houses.
On top of this Full Moon, Mars in Aquarius will be opposing the North Node in Leo. Remember all of the summer struggles we had earlier last summer with Mars retrograde? The struggle is back, but with Mars direct, rather than contemplating on our actions, it’s time to act. We’ve been working on solidifying our identities and where we belong in the collective, and one way to strengthen this is to realize how our identities emerge to ourselves and others with this Full Moon. This Full Moon harvests all the work you’ve done to find yourself so that you can finally act on it.
This Full Moon will not be painless with the Moon and Sun having a T-Square with Saturn in Capricorn. Who is the opponent when it comes into our self emergence? Who is stopping us from balancing peace with others and within ourselves? Saturn in Capricorn, which shows through reality that we are limited and that we will stay limited. However, while this Saturn in Capricorn transit can limit us from being ourselves and having peaceful relations, this transit can also give us more information about ourselves. Our limitations can either indeed limit and discourage us, or give us a good spot to start working on ourselves realistically.
While the transit is separating (weakening) it would be important to note that Mars is still square to Uranus. This transit highlights the sensitive and volatile situations we have been facing for a few weeks, and this transit was also present during the summer with Mars retrograde. As the ruler of Aries, Mars being square to Uranus shows that it can difficult to stabilize the self-realizations and assertions we have, for it can be quite unpredictable. The purpose of all of this work on identity is to experience pleasure and stability in the collective world we find ourselves in.
If you’ve been working really hard to find who you are, you will get results. However, the challenge is constantly implementing and sustaining these results in a world that limits you through rules. Don’t conform too much to where you are unhappily complacent, and if you choose to break the rules, do you know your limits?
