Sorry to keep e-begging, but this is a big one. I have a tax extension until October, but $600 of it is due in April. You're Nigerian pride art brought me to tears...I'm so serious...

Growing up queer here and being constantly surrounded by homophobic and transphobic comments made about queer people is always like a stab to the heart.

It feels like you're some kind of hidden threat in disguise and it genuinely hurts knowing you can NEVER come out to the people you trust unless you want to ruin your entire relationship with them.

So seeing this art....just....just...

Seeing Nigerian people get to BE openly queer? It's beautiful., just beautiful...

I know there are MANY queer Nigerians in this country but you can't help but feel so alone.

This art was beautiful. Thank you. It made me feel so incredibly seen.

I'm super sorry for responding late!

I really wish being gay, trans, ace, and having other identities wouldn't be a problem in Nigeria. I heard younger generations want to make a change, but sadly, the old folks run the social hierarchy 😭.

For the time being, i'm grateful that the post reached you and helped you feel seen.
