Hey guys :)
For such a long time, I didn’t think I’d ever have the courage to say this. For a while, I was very afraid to. Why not make this pride month special to me. I’m bisexual.
All of this has been so personal to me that I didn’t know who to talk to about it, however I’ve always wanted to tell you guys. I feel comfortable sharing intimate things like this with you all.
If it wasn’t for @taylorswift, I’d still be trying to find myself and I definitely wouldn’t be the prideful person I am today. She (in addition to many others) has inspired me to be and accept myself. A year ago when YNTCD came out, I was no where near my true self. When I had the opportunity to meet Taylor, I didn’t have the courage to tell her what I’m saying now. I wish I had. It’s something I personally regret. But in the grand scheme of things, I was still finding myself, and I’ve learned recently that that was perfectly ok.
Things like this take time, it took me years. If you’ve read this far tysm. I think it’s important that we collectively foster feelings of safety and acceptance for the LGBTQ+ community not just here but in our homes, our schools, our governments, our world. I’m bisexual. Happy Pride Month 💖💜💙
