it’s so hard for me to listen to heartbroken/angry breakup songs by straight men bc no matter how good the song is i’ll be like i’m not sure if i fully believe you. let’s hear her side of the story.
lol, not five minutes ago I was talking with my daughter about how if you are a straight white male, you have to be willing to put up with a certain amount of abuse if you want to follow fanfiction and / or be on Tumblr
i hope you lose custody of her
How much does high body count matter to you? Or how much do you think it should matter if you’re taken/not dating.
For the sake of the poll, assume that lesbian = gold star homosexual woman. I’m wondering how other radfems feel about this because in libfem spaces every woman acts as if a body count doesn’t matter. But in lesbian/bi spaces, people seem to care a lot.
High body count here is 10-15+ sexual partners by the time you’re 30.
It’s a dealbreaker (heterosexual)
It’s a dealbreaker (bisexual)
It’s a dealbreaker (lesbian)
I don’t care (heterosexual)
I don’t care (bisexual)
I don’t care (lesbian)
I only care if it’s with the same sex (for heterosexuals) or the opposite sex (for lesbians)
I’m bisexual and it makes a difference to me if it’s same or opposite sex partners
Nuance

There's something wrong with me because by the end I was laughing so hard there were tears in my eyes. I want to show this to aliens.
the thing about phone in bed is that it's so awesome. almost makes you feel like betraying & destroying yourself for nothing isn't all so bad
It's interesting to watch normal people respond to the trans movement fading out. Women are talking more about wanting our own spaces, we're saying "women" without the need to stick on "and non binary people" or "and anyone who identifies as a woman". Lesbians are talking about loving the female body, without feeling pressured to include male bodies.
Men have pushed too far, as they always have, and women are pushing back, women have had enough.
It genuinely fucks up my cycle if I don’t masturbate enough
What do you think of the opinion that white women saying "who set the system up" and talks of the patriarchy is a tactic that silences black men? I'm curious about the nuance of this conversation and if these topics truly in some ways silence black men in regards to racism. I personally don't see white women talking about black men, usually it's just personal experiences with men in general or white men but I wonder if black men were harmed in any way bcs of this. Or even black women. This person compared it to the analogy of having proximity to the king (white woman having proximity to the king the white man) while others are outside (minorities) but you (white woman) still say the kingdom is very oppressive.
It doesn't harm black men in the slightest. Next time you think it does remember that early, black male slave abolitionists used to write screeds about how unjust it is that white slave masters raped their wives- not because it harmed women, but because it made them feel like less of a man. Remember that there was a point where black men used to grumble about how racism was emasculating them because it interfered with their ability to dominate black women. And that they were fighting for the "right" to own black women.
never forget that black men happily joined forces with white men to close ranks around both black and white women, when black men got the right to vote in the US. Black men got rights before white women, and black women. Never forget that when push comes to shove black men will choose to ally with other men who think of them as less than, as long as it means they don't have to ally with women. They've shown where their allegiance lies- with other men.
Also, black men had patriarchy going in Africa before Europeans came there.
The seven-month-old, Sam Fahd Abu Haikal, was in his mother’s arms when soldiers fired on family in Hebron
Israeli troops killed a seven-month-old Palestinian baby in the occupied West Bank and injured his parents after opening fire on the family’s car, despite it having complied with an order to stop.
Soldiers opened fire on Friday on a car carrying the infant and his parents in the Tel Rumeida area of Hebron. The seven-month-old, Sam Fahd Abu Haikal, was critically injured, evacuated in critical condition to a hospital, where he later died.
The boy turned seven months on Friday, the day he was killed.
The Israeli military said troops had fired at a vehicle they believed was moving towards them, but an initial inquiry found those injured were uninvolved civilians.
In an interview with Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the father, Fahd Abu Haikal, a lecturer at Bethlehem University, said that “a bullet passed through his hand and struck his son, Sam, who was being held by his mother in the back seat”. Abu Haikal said the family, which also included the couple’s 11-year-old son and Abu Haikal’s mother, had been driving through Hebron on Friday evening when soldiers signalled for the vehicle to stop, he said.
He said it was still daylight and that the soldier who opened fire could clearly see the occupants were a family. “The soldier signalled me to stop. I brought the car to a complete halt and raised my hands on the steering wheel. Immediately afterwards, they opened fire on the vehicle,” he told Haaretz.
People are so indoctrinated by patriarchy that mentioning something neutral like "men on average are physically stronger than women" will get you accused of saying women are inferior to men. Like, nobody said that, you are the one who believes physical strength equals worthiness and value as a human being and is projecting it on completely neutral assumptions.
The use of physical strength as a measurement of worth and value is one of the most male supremacist things in the book, that assignment of meaning was obviously made by men to portray themselves as superior to women (and therefore justify a system of male rulership, control and dominance over women) because they conveniently had more physical strength than women on average. For example, they didn't choose immune resilience to that purpose for a reason, you know.
This should be obvious for people who claim to be feminist and anti-patriarchal.
it's utterly fascinating how many so-called allies believe both "not telling someone you're trans before sleeping with them is rape by deception" and "rapists deserve the death penalty/vigilante justice" at once. literally recreating the gay panic defense from first principles. and by fascinating I mean fucking sickening
so what part exactly do you disagree with? do you disagree with the concept that intentionally outright lying to someone about your sex in order to get them to sleep with you because you know they have a sexual orientation that excludes you is rape by deception, or do you disagree with the concept that all rapists should die?
what an interesting dichotomy to be against the gay panic defense because of it's obvious homophobia, but okay with transgender people lying to homosexuals with strict sexual boundaries in order to violate those boundaries and sleep with them under false pretenses. are you pro-gay or pro-sexually-violating-gays? hard to tell
The trans community is just a rape cult atp
That thing you think is your “innate gender identity?” It’s your fucking personality
that love of “boys clothes” or “girls clothes”…that’s your fucking taste in fashion
That belief that if you’re really a girl because you’re delicate, meek, emotional and bad at math? That’s your fucking misogyny.
That belief that you’re not really a girl because you’re not feminine, helpless and shallow? That’s also your fucking misogyny.
The belief that aren’t a girl because you aspire to be an engineer, doctor, or in the trades? That’s your internalized misogyny.
The belief that you aren’t a girl because you feel like a big empty nothing inside? That’s your clinical depression.
how leftists look at you when you don't believe in "rehabilitating" people who permanently altered another human beings life out of a sadistic sexual desire
Also while I’m at it there’s no such thing as a genital preference for gay men and lesbians. It’s a REQUIREMENT that a partner be the same sex! The END.
A preference would be “oh man I’m out of my favorite fruit, apples. That’s okay though, while I like it the best, I’ll eat oranges too since I have them.”
A preference implies that it can be changed, that it’s only a choice of which you prefer at the time. What has been called “genital preference” is actually so fucking homophobic it’s unreal. We don’t choose this! It’s innate. And it’s sexual orientation, and cannot be changed.
Gays: if you’re not gay then you’re not gay
People in hetero relationships but who wear silly clothing: How DARE You Disrespect me! I exist!
Fuck Joanne
You are so fucking stupid it's ridiculous lol. Anyway long live Queen Jo.
You can keep sucking Joanne's cock. She still will not pick you.
and if you read one of those books (which i did as a teen) you’d find out she has some interesting word choices that make me puke inside
Man. You took one for the team. I couldn't get through Harry Potter because for a self proclaimed "feminist" that was apparently "so oppressed" she had to use her initials instead of her very feminine first name Joanne. She's actually very terrible at writing women.
Picture this. Only 4 books are published. The 5th is about to be published. I finally let someone bully me into buying the first four in a box set. I can't even get through the first book because "Isn't this a coed school? Why is Hermione like? The only girl going there?"
Apparently it doesn't get better either. In later books when they fix their "token girl character" problem it seems like ALL OF THE GIRLS in the story cannot exist without being attached to a man, and most of their defining personality traits are their relationship to one of the male leads.
I cannot.
For a feminist she writes women remarkably bad.
Notice how they downplay misogyny. It’s a joke to them. Haha women think they’re oppressed. The poor, DV victim in the 90s was so foolish to think she might be affected by misogyny. How stupid she was to worry that a book with a female author might be pigeonholed as only for girls. It would be foolish to think that that concern played into her writing a male main character. Because misogyny isn’t real and women are just hysterical drama queens. Even 40 years ago it wasn’t real.
Except, misogyny IS real? But only when a woman with Bad Opinions writes a male main character. Never mind that the smartest, most talented main character is female. Never mind the several other complex female characters. Never mind reality. They only talk about misogyny when they can try to use it to discredit a woman.
