āI think we all may need a nap first.ā VIk chuckles, shaking his head. He may have overdone it on the pancakes, but having Sadie over for breakfast had been a special treat.Ā āDefinitely later. I say we let Lei watch a few cartoons while I clean up. Please help yourself to more coffeeā¦and to keep me company in the kitchen, if you feel so inclined. Though I donāt blame you if youād rather go watch cartoons.āĀ
Sadie loved moments like this, small captures of father and daughter dynamic. At first she felt like an intruder but more and more she just felt lucky to be welcomed to witness the interactions. Viktor was an amazing dad and Lei was just the most captivating little girl she had ever met. Even if she didnāt know quite yet where she fit in this picture, she was just happy to be invited.Ā āIāll take you on that, Iām sure Lei will come grab us soon enough. I need coffee. Can I help with anything?ā The blonde offers, helping Vik carry some plates and trays back to the kitchen.Ā āDo you want me to fix you a cup?ā She offers, moving to the coffee machine, quietly asking for permission to make her way around the kitchen. Sadie had always been comfortable around the kitchen. It was the center of some of her fondest memories with her grandma Yael and her cousin Brett.Ā āWere you always this good at making pancakes or did that come with being a dad?āĀ
