Sadie loved moments like this, small captures of father and daughter dynamic. At first she felt like an intruder but more and more she just felt lucky to be welcomed to witness the interactions. Viktor was an amazing dad and Lei was just the most captivating little girl she had ever met. Even if she didn’t know quite yet where she fit in this picture, she was just happy to be invited. “I’ll take you on that, I’m sure Lei will come grab us soon enough. I need coffee. Can I help with anything?” The blonde offers, helping Vik carry some plates and trays back to the kitchen. “Do you want me to fix you a cup?” She offers, moving to the coffee machine, quietly asking for permission to make her way around the kitchen. Sadie had always been comfortable around the kitchen. It was the center of some of her fondest memories with her grandma Yael and her cousin Brett. “Were you always this good at making pancakes or did that come with being a dad?”
"No, no...you’re our guest. Thank you for offering though.” Vik says, reaching to pour Sadie another cup of coffee before he starts on the dishes, waiting for the water to warm up a bit. “Oh, i definitely got better once Lei started eating solids. I mean, I was a decent cook when it came to cooking for myself, but I definitely want her to eat better than I did when I was younger. It’s definitely a learning curve though, especially when you have a very opinionated three year old judging your cooking!” He laughs at that, scrubbing at the dishes in front of him to get any stray syrup off the plates. “What about you? Do you like to cook?”
