Camperdown Stayz

Thanks to our lovely friends we have had a three week stay in Camperdown minding their apartment. It is a lovely complex with indoor and outdoor pool (got one sunny morning in there), 2 gyms (not really on the top of my to do list). Camperdown itself seems to have very little to offer but surrounding buzzing suburbs of Newtown, Annandale and Glebe are very easily accessible. Found a lovely coffee shop in Annandale, Lemonia. Definitely one of the best coffees I have had in Sydney. Finally made it to the famed Marys of Newtown to try their famous burgers - definitely not what I was expecting. If anyone is missing Supermacs from Ireland - they taste just like the supermac burger!! So basically we just paid $15 dollars for Mac Donalds chips and a supermac burger - not sure what all the hype is about. Next stop - West Chatswood!!!

Sydney never fails to surprise me. Every week we have a new adventure!! Lovely evening in Chippendale last night. Happened upon this silent disco in Central Park before heading to a lovely little hideaway bar called chip off the old block for dinner and drinks. We will be back!!

The why

So its possibly my approaching 30s or maybe the ever growing number of friends getting married and having kids (I'm just not there yet!)  but I am getting really itchy feet to go travelling again. I left my job in Dublin almost 5 years ago now to start my travels of the globe. After a longer stay in Sydney than expected I am heading off on my travels again. My lovely boyfriend Mike has decided to join me - YAY. So for now we are wrapping things up in Sydney. Technically the travels have begun as we left our amazing apartment in Pyrmont (sob sob) and are relying on our lovely friends to take care of us for the next three months while we have a last very inconvenient three months of work. I will keep you updated on our travels about Sydney as we couch surf and house sit our way around the suburbs.
