After a war that destroyed most of the world, here in Chicago we have to live to survive. With a huge fence build around the city, we can’t afford to find out what’s behind and what happened to the others. To keep the peace and order, a system has been set up. Everyone lives and works in their faction. There’s five different factions; abnegation, the selfless, erudite, the intelligent, amity, the peaceful, candor, the honest and dauntless, the brave. Each faction has their own role in Chicago’s society. At the age of eighteen you will be ordered to take a test, this test will let you know where you truly belong before you can decide to stay in the faction you were born in or to transfer to a new faction. Once you decide, you can’t go back.

You chose for us, now make us choose you.

Welcome to Dauntless. This is where you belong, or so you think. In order to prove you right or show you wrong, a new system has been set up within our faction. You can’t just stay here and slow us down, you have to earn your spot among the Dauntless. End up in the red area and you’re gone, stay in the white area and you’re safe.. for now. Most of you don’t look like you belong here, so show us.

Think you’re safe? Think again.

While the initiates are in the most danger of becoming factionless, they aren’t the only ones that can slow us down. We’re the peacekeepers, if a riot were to happen we’d need all of our people. Because of this every other month tests will be held for those who aren’t initiatives. These tests aren’t like the initiation, but they’re very similar. You won’t be scored but once it has been decided that you aren’t fit enough to stay in Dauntless, you’re out and there’s no coming back. So, initiate or not, you better stay on your a-game or you’ll be fighting pigeons over bread crumbs.

Solution: If you want roleplaying to be fun again, then just don’t apply for the RP’s that you know the admin will give up on. Believe it or not, there’s RP’s out there with dedicated admins, fun plots, and average appearances — you just have to apply for them, and quit judging them subconsciously. If you wanted to RP, you wouldn’t apply for RP’s with admins who just make a RP for the hell of it, and have little to no passion in their work. It’s not hard, bub.
