Of course, Sylvain was about to answer seriously, but then his face grew hot, and one of his hands hovered over his mouth. Holy shit- She actually said something back to him! Sylvain brought his hand back down.

“ A-Ah... Right! Okay! “ His voice was higher than normal, as he quickly grabbed Leana’ hand in his own.

Lorenz throws his hands up in the air like he ‘just does not care,’ (although, in truth, he cares very much and it’s tearing him apart.)  He lowers them slowly, defeated. and clutches one against his chest over his heart before offering Sylvain a half-bow.

              “ Please, I implore you,  let me in on your secret!  Your ‘dating-hacks,’ as it very much were.  “ 

Despite asking for advice, Lorenz doesn’t shut up and listen.  He keeps blabbing, lips screwed into a scowl and brow furrowed as though THIS IS THE HARDEST THING HE’S EVER DONE. 

              “  NOT that I need any help, it is merely a nobleman’s duty to gather as much relevant intel and information as possible before making his move and as much as I balk at confessing it—“

He balks, sighs. 

               “  This seems to be your area of expertise.  “

Hearing Lorenz admit defeat for once brought a smile to Sylvain’s lips - for once, he was right, and that’s all he cared about! However, later, he’d celebrate. For now, he’d offer the nobleman a careful smile, and a wink. The wink meant nothing, as he circled Lorenz.

“ Well... First off, fix the hair, “ He hummed, as he reached up to Lorenz’s hair, and gave a soft tug, being careful as to not pull too hard or yank anything out. Or was it a wig? He was curious. “ The ladies - or men! I don’t judge! - don’t find bowl cuts to be... What’s the word. Alluring? Sexy? “ Maybe he was using the wrong words, but those seemed close to what he was thinking of. Sylvain furrowed his brows and puffed out his chest, only to let out a heavy breath - man that hurt a little.

Sylvain could only shake his head. “ And keep the whole... ‘Woe is me, may I have a slice? I’m a nobleman, you know! The next leader of the Alliance!’ shtick to a minimum! People don’t like cocky men! “ Sylvain’s voice almost seemed to be imitating Lorenz’s, only to result in a soft cough. Is Lorenz taking notes? Sylvain sure hopes so!
