Charlie’s mouth clamps shut and she tilts her head, curious, waiting for Angel to continue.

“I — well, Val told me…” Angel’s nose scrunches up as he digs up Val’s words from his memory. “He said one of his girls got knocked up awhile back. That Lucifer took her and got the upstairs people involved.”

Charlie’s eyes widen guiltily and Angel’s narrow.
