Alec raised his eyebrow; though beneath the orange ski mask he had tugged over his head it was impossible to see. After all, it wasnât like this was the cartoons and his mask followed his facial movements. He turned to look at the woman in red, looking her over some and facing her. The skeleton at his side stepped slightly between them with a simple thought from Alec to be on its guard.
âYeah, thatâs me now.â He fired back at her as he tucked the bag of pills into the âcollarâ of his bone breastplate. He pointed his femur-club at her and then aimed it down the alley as he spoke, âYou should probably get out of here, Princess. Last guy that was here got a busted eye socket.â He said in a halfway-warning, halfway-casual tone. âSeriously though, whatâs with the leathers? If youâre going for Dominatrix, red is not the color to do so.â This was the first of the actual costumed individuals in this city heâd run into. Up until now, everyone heâd met had been rather normal seeingâor The Joker and his entourage. He wasnât sure what to expect, but he was staying on guard.
She could feel her blood boil as the man made his misogynistic comments about her appearance. How naive and judgmental they were. Though, it wasnât anything new to her. People were always quick to judge, but she found many ways to use that to her advantage or more than one occasion. But for now, all it did was give her another reason to drive an arrow through his body.
âThanks, but I think Iâll take my chances.â Bitterness ringing clearly in her tone. Thea took a step forward, walking right past the skeletal guard without paying it any attention. As she walked past the man, or whatever he was, she abruptly knocked her shoulder into his, and marched passed him and left him behind, wandering into what he seemed to consider his âturfâ fearlessly and without hesitation.
