Taelyr Underwood
this is a story about a 32 year old defense attorney, that looks a lot like aly michalka. sheâs born and raised in phoenix arizona. the down low is that she is the middle child of the Underwood, and if you want to know a bit more about her, her bio is underneath. feel free to message me and we can get to plotting. <3
Her early years were blissful, Taelyr was surrounded by two doting parents and siblings that she got along with and was able to be herself. The environment that they were raised in was free from judgments and expectations which allowed her to roam freely into everything she wanted. Taelyr was too young to notice their economic status or her fatherâs stress. A part of her blames her youth and then another part just appreciates how her parents did everything in their power to allow them to have a childhood â little had they known how important these years would be to them.
As the middle child Taelyr was blessed to have the best of both worlds due to her siblings. With Royce being the jock that he was and Monroe tapping into the fashion world more than anything, Taelyr ended following her brotherâs steps and pursued a love for soccer. Monroe and her would do their best to make their hand-me-downs fashionable, or at the very least Monroeâ approved. It was not till later down the road that she got her very own niche which was art.
Taelyr didnât start speaking till she was six years old, her parents had been concerned but the doctors couldnât find anything wrong with her. Instead, she would write notes to her parents and her older brother when she wanted something or would point to express herself. The doctors had told her parents that she would talk when she had something important to say which ended up happening during Christmas when her parents had gotten her first art kit
Her mother told her she had a talent with her art and soon encouraged her to enter into contests and soon Taelyr started to become noticed. She started to win state competitions and soon started to get cash awards and Tatum found her voice and confidence.
It was during the summer she had gone camping for art that her entire life got turned upside down. Her parents died in a fire and all of a sudden all the attention was on the three orphans that were left with no parents, no family house, and shuffled to grandparents she had never met before. On top of this Royce left and pursued his own dreams. Though the difference was just two years, Taelyr took them hard. Not that she ever allowed the emotions to be shown since something in the fire managed to turn off something in her.
Although it appeared that she handled her parentâs death she never dealt with it and just pushed it aside. Her academics took a nosedive. She started to forge her grandparentâs signature on her progress reports and would get herself sent to in-school suspension on purpose to just not have to be around people but she was able to divert the school channels and her family was never notified of how grave the situation was.
It wasnât that she wasnât doing the work because she did the homework, she just never turned it in. She aced her exams but put the wrong answer on the scranton and would show up to school but never go to her classrooms. Something about thrill of doing it but not at the same time managed to make her feel something, and it wasnât like she could talk to Royce since he was out there making their parents proud and Monroe didnât deserve the burden.
Taelyr stopped painting and pursued a career in the legal field. Solely because a professor told her that she didnât have the ability to become an artist and suggested that she should smile more and get married so she would be taken care of. Something in her kicked in and her senior year she made a recovery with her grades and she excelled in her college exams.
Her mother had sent her portfolio to Rhode Island School of Design and her acceptance letter came through the mail but Taelyr refused it.
She made the decision to go to community college and then transfer to Arizona State University and then ended up finishing her law school in Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law where she got her JD. Taelyr decided to stay close to home so that she could keep her relationship with Monroe and be there if she was needed. She was able to secure a job as a public defender and ironically she does love what she does.
Her art supplies havenât seen the light of day since the fire and though there have been moments that she has tried to pick it up but itâs never been the same.
