He shakes his head, weighing the weapon in his hand, checking it over for damage. It looks… fine. In working order, at least, despite everything.
"... Never mind," he says with a grimace. It is hardly important anymore, anyway.
He makes sure the safety is on before holstering the gun in his belt. Then he glances back up at Miriam with a grim, stony expression.
"It would be… foolish of me to try to convince you to stay here, wouldn't it?"
He holds himself stone-still as always, his posture and expression carefully neutral, giving nothing away. But his eyes carry a certain... desperation, an edge of raw fear that betrays his anxiety. He does not feel good about this... however much it might be the best plan they have.
