hello,

i understand there are people rigging votes (or at least, are suspected to?) as of right now. because of this, season 40 will continue to be on hiatus. originally i had stopped posting rounds because i was swamped with testing, but i’ve decided to postpone rounds until issues are resolved.

i am a high schooler. please understand that i am fragile and i’m not as mature as one may think i am. i want people to have fun, but if we’re not having fun, i can’t continue this season.

i know this season hasn’t run as smoothly as season 39, and i’m not a very good moderator. for this, i am really sorry. i might post announcements and repost lore on this account, but other than that, no rounds.

additionally, please don’t bully or harass anyone. i don’t know who did what or even the general idea of what’s going on right now. admittedly, i’m scared. i just want these rounds to all be fair. i’m not sure what anyone did wrong, and things have become kind of distressing for me recently. i wish everyone the best.

also,

i do not want anyone to continue the next rounds on my behalf. do not make separate season 40 round accounts. this is the one and only season 40 polls account. (non-canon rounds are okay to make. do not make separate accounts labeling them as season 40’s canon for those, though)

i do not know when we will be back to posting. this is important.

i do not know who rigged @alnst-sona-season’s votes. it is also simply suspicion. i’m only being cautious. this post is not meant to target or make anyone suspect of rigging a round.

if the round rigging turns out to be untrue, posts will resume.

i’m ngl this may sound weird but i think i’m gonna have to like. delay the next rounds for maybe a couple days since i had to cut down and harvest a tree today in my backyard (i’m not done) (we’re giving away our harvest????) (i was unaware that we do this???????) and if anyone is wondering where stuff is yeah. it’s the tree. also a big thick branch fell on me and my back hurts so there’s that. whoever cursed me please lift it. sorry for the inconvenience (this feels like an ao3 authors note)

(Regarding Announcements)

in order to not overwork myself between rounds, the announcers will make an announcement every 4 rounds. this number is subject to change.

how this will work:

the announcers will be introduced (given a full, genuine introduction with maybe art from myself i dunno yet…) after round 4.

round results from the last 4 rounds will also be posted at that time.

the announcers will discuss everything that has happened in the last 4 rounds.

they will also state their opinions, which will probably differ and affect their popularity poll results

if an announcement needs to be made BEFORE 4 rounds have occurred, it will happen but the announcers will not be speaking. it would just be a simple “(x) competitor has escaped” or “(x) competitor has abruptly died before the round aftermath” with the announcers commenting on it in the 4-rounds debrief

had a snow day today! no power outage currently, so the rounds 1-4 announcement will release in the afternoon tomorrow and round 5 will release at 12:00AM on thursday morning. (if power does go out, it will be pushed back by a day.) thanks for being patient <3
