Growing up in a world where he’s always had to prove himself to others, Yagura never has had anytime to dabble in the aspect of ‘love’ and all that it holds. He knew he loved his parents but when it comes to others he held no ties to, he couldn’t imagine he could ever feel the same for them or emotions stronger than that. Because of this, he kept many people at bay, especially when he couldn’t trust many due to people only seeing him as a weapon for war. When thought deeply on, Yagura possibly could be a demisexual; only liking people until a deep emotional link is formed. However, people see him as an asexual and if he had any say on it, he’d say companionship is for the weak yet he never closed the door of possibility.

One thing Yagura dislikes with fervent passion is when people mention his appearance. He’s well aware of his short stature and childish features. It is one of the reasons why Kirigakure felt the full brunt of his wrath under his reign. He always had to show his power for people didn’t see him as a kid.

I respect all ships! However, some get on my nerve because they’re so cliche; like Naruto x Sasuke or Sasuke x Sakura. They’re cliche and expect, but I respect all ships.

☑ - A fact about the character.

It’s obvious that Yagura was a powerful shinobi, being a Mizukage and a jinchūriki but what people don’t know about him is that like how Gaara controls his sand, he can do the same with water by using his hooked-staff. However, not to the extent of Senju, Tobirama.

ⱷ — As one of the more different jinchūriki — when it comes to his appearance — Yagura dislikes talking about his height. If it isn’t two things that anger him more, it has to be talking about his child-like features and his height. Being the shortest one out of all the jinchūriki, he’s already seen as a lesser to other people who know little of him when they first lay eyes on him. If anything, he’s rather self-conscious about two of his greatest flaws. He feels inadequate when compared to other males and it makes him defensive, sometimes to the point of belligerency.

Upon meeting Naruto for the first time, all he wanted to do was rip his face from his head because he was embarrassed. Everyone else knew not to comment on his features, yet the flaxen haired youth spoke out of turn and disrespect. Even when Yagura was welcoming him formally on the behalf of all the jinchūriki.

Yagura doesn’t do well when being scrutinized about his height. In order to prove to the world that his height and looks meant nothing in terms of his power, to show it, he turned the generation of upcoming shinobi under his reign into blood thirsty, emotionless and ruthless fighters. As he force young Genin to kill one another to acclaim Chūnin status. Anyone who comments on his height are sure to face his full wrath and fury, if not a lecture of words then with a scalding blast of water to the face. Whichever comes first.

His reaction instincts when people comment on any of his features come up as sudden vomit, where he has no time to think before he acts and sometimes it is too late to call back his actions. However, at the end, he regrets nothing due to his feeling that everyone should be respectful. Rather they knew him or not.

What is Yagura's favorite food?

VEGETARIANISM VS. CARNIVOROUS…!

ⱷ — In respect to hosting Isobu within himself, Yagura has tried all his life to be a devout vegetarian. He still does drink milk which is why he isn’t a vegan; however, some of the tendencies of Isobu sink into his psyche. With the Three-tails being an aquatic turtle, his diet would consist mainly of meat which in turn, has Yagura go after sushi or raw fish period. When he’s craving flesh, his favorite thing to eat possibly has to be tempura or even sake steamed clams simply because he can pop them into his mouth or slurp it as if it were soup. Yagura holds this level of respect for all animal life forms, another trigger for him to attempt a life of vegetarianism.

Isobu disagrees with his style of eating. He thinks Yagura should eat all things that dwell in the waters; fish, shrimp, clams, etc. However, the Three-tails is too timid to say so to Yagura, so Yagura knows little of what he wants. The end result is that both of them hold so much respect for one another, they tend to counteract each other’s respect without really knowing it.

When it comes down to it, Yagura eats a lot of friend eggplant, sautéed asparagus; sometimes tempura, steamed clams and sushi.
