Closing In (Bofur & Kili)

Kili climbed onto the boat that took in all the barrels that had unexpectedly found it's way down the rivers from Mirkwood. It wasn't until Kili was onboard he spotted Bard among the seamen and soaked dwarves, so he assumed they were close to Lake Town now.

"Oh, come on, Bofur. Can't just hang around all day," Kili grinned still in an alright mood after the long, soaking trip down the river. He leaned down to help the older dwarf up onto the boat and hoisted with all his might.

Bofur & Kili

Kili patted the neck of one of the horses Beorn was lending them on their way to the enterance of Mirkwood. These horses were larger than the ponies they left the Blue Mountains with, but there were fewer of them too so most of the dwarves had to ride two and two.

He suddenly felt a whole lot more intimidated by the beorling than he had done by anyone else before in his life. Even Thorin and Dwalin. The thought of something happening to his horses on their guards... oh that would not end pretty.
