Skull rubbed his temples as he sat at a table in the local Denny’s. “Unngh...I’ll just get a Grand Slam and an orange juice.” he groaned to the waitress, who jotted down his order before walking away. “I gotta cut back on the booze...” he grumbled to himself. Seemed somebody was working through his latest hangover.

Welp...nothing quite as demoralizing as getting beaten up by yourself at a Denny’s at 8 in the morning because the other you didn’t like how you handled your father issues. Luckily, Skull had two very effective aides who were about to help him forget all about it; the Kalashnikov twins.

Putting his teleporter on shuffle and warping to the first secluded spot, Skull sat down at the base of a tree, popped a bottle open, and started to drink deep.

Skull took one final drag from his cigarette before dropping it to the dirt and stomping it out. “Party time.” he said to himself. He flipped the hood of his black robe over his head, grabbed his fake scythe, and made his way to the venue of Vesper Woman’s halloween party.

Once in the building, Skull glanced around before spotting a fembot in a pixie costume, complete with hard light wings. “You’re the one throwing this party, right? Vesper Woman?” Skull asked as he approached Synth. “I heard this was open invite, so I decided to come loiter. Quick question, though. Is there an open bar?”

“Watashi wa chigau koto o kou, koshinuke!” Yamato yelled as he turned to the Joes.

Yamato’s mild anger turned into pure rage. He jumped up and took out the Joes with two spearheads each. Then he turned his attention to Skull. Yamato had his spear almost up against Skull. Yamato wasn’t one for murder, but he wasn’t in the right mind then. Yamato started to say something as he was starting to stab Skull between his “ribs”.

((Translations: I’d beg to differ, coward!))

The Joes going down so easy wasn’t exactly a surprise. What was a surprise, however, was when Yamato drove his Spear into Skull’s side. The bonebot yelled in pain before activating his Skull Barrier, The vaguely skull-shaped blobs of energy pushed Yamato and his spear away from/out of Skull and gave the DCN a bit of breathing room. “YOU PRICK!” Skull barked at Yamato as he gripped the stab would. 

“That’s it!” Skull sneered. “I was trying to be nice, but now you’re gonna be lucky if I leave you in enough pieces for Wily to reprogram!” Did Skull really mean that threat? Absolutely. Did he have the power to back it up? Far from likely. But that didn’t stop him from opening fire on Yamato.

Silk smooches Knight on the cheek. "Mistletoe." she giggled while pointing up before walking off.

Congrats, Silk. You’ve reduced the once-proud warrior into a stuttering pile of fluster.

The Task at Hand

Skull was at the snack table, sipping the last of a cup of punch he had poured for himself and then spiked. As he tossed the plastic cup in the trash, he glanced over to Centaur Woman. “...yeah, it’s probably been long enough now.” he said to himself as he started walking towards the horsebot. Once he had the spy camera in his scythe crushed, he could get back to enjoying this party properly.

Psst! Mr. Skullman!!! Are you gonna go to the halloween party? I wanna go but my brother says it's not a good idea since there are stardroids there (Sparkman has snuck onto Hard's blog!)
