The smaller of the two raised his head, alerted by the whisper. When his gaze fell upon Honey he nudged the other one and pointed up at her with his snout. For a moment the two simply stared up at her with interest.

Honey stared at them with wide eyes before she felt something grab her and drag her back into the house. Oil quickly shut the door and locked it again. “What were you thinking?”

“I wanted to see what my drones saw.” She said quietly. “I just wanted to know what we’re fighting-”

“Would you do this if it was a hunter?” He hissed. She got quiet at that. “Go to Top. He’ll want you beside him.

The origin of the howls soon revealed itself. Two beasts which resembled wolves but were clearly partially human were lurking outside the house. When the goat had been stripped down to nothing but bones they instead began seeking a way inside, seemingly more curious than aggressive as they tested the windows and sniffed around the doors.

The drones watched the two with curiosity, Honey watching from upstairs, the door to the balcony cracked open a bit. She eventually moved towards the front of the balcony to get a better look of the creatures.

Those were not human. But clearly not robots either.

“Honey!” Came an hard whisper. “Get back inside.”

A loud, chilling howl can be heard outside the house late at night. Worse, a second one soon responds from the opposite side.

A couple of Honey’s drones respond by rushing towards the first noise, hoping they can find the source of it. Meanwhile Oil had decided that everyone should stay on the second floor for now.

Oil, are you ready to step up and protect your family?

Oil was obviously shaking at the thought of having to fight something. Would he? Of course. He would protect his family no matter what. However he knew there was a slim chance of him succeeding. Honey had a better chance at fighting than he would.

“Of course.” He said with a nervous chuckle and smile. “Of course.”

Quick only shook his head in response. “Just what Heat told us… That it was Sand.” He drew a deep breath before continuing, “Is Apis home? I want to talk to him.”

There was a look of disappointment on Oil’s face. He knew that was the case but he was hoping for some good news. “Of course he is. He’s been officially grounded to the house.” Oil said as he stepped aside. “He’s probably back in his room. Our guests left awhile ago.”

With Heat and Splash's confirmations of what had happened to Pump, it was impossible for Quick to deny that he had made friends with a monster. But with no way of fixing his mistake, all he could do was apologize to Apis for doubting him. That was how he ended up knocking at the front door and wondering how much Apis was going to insult him today.

Oil was the one that was downstairs, and he soon opened the door and glanced up to see Quick. “Any news of Pump?”

Erm nope it isn't a station, think it was trash can't tell too many flames.

Oil looks a bit baffled. “We don’t have our trash cans outside-”
