Sonata Light updated, I know I’ve been gone from the blog but I did get the tiniest of musings for my babies so I wanted to draw them updated a little.
Here she’s married and actually has shorter hair now! She’s not a hair loaf but still a cinnamon roll.

One month has passed since Shade gave Dr. Baak the terminal and allowed her to build Sonata’s body, and now it was time to return to the doctor to activate and transfer the AI that was once the single entity of the body she now thrived in.
She knocked upon the door with a satchel around her arm, she could see the transparent image of Sonata beside her, trying to ignore her screams and pleads.
Even if Sonata wanted, she no longer held the strength to pry control from Shade, she was too dominant, too strong for the light bot to fight off. She was going to leave her all alone.
Shade now waited at the front steps for the door to open, how fitting it was a dark day, down pouring with booms of thunder and lightning around the skies. She cared very little if she got wet at this point, it would all be over soon.
Regress

Within the deepest parts of Light labs was where barely any activity was, although a door was down the hallway where lights were bright. A largish window was near the door although by the look alone of the color it was one sided, looking heavy duty in reinforcement.
The room it was attached to was white also, various small machines and scanners placed about it and a few wires. It mimicked almost a hospital room in design and the bed was no exception. There sat Sonata, with her arms wrapped around her knees staring at the small television in the room hooked to the wall.
There was no other windows, the florescent lights were the only thing bringing light.
What would usually be a heart monitor was transformed into a core monitor, a box placed just below it on the rack with a larger wire running through it to Sonata’s chest. She was holding an oldish looking stuffed animal of a beige and brown dog, missing its ear and an eye.
The sound of movement had gotten her attention, her eyes growing wide as she looked towards the window, her eyes a more vibrant light blue and detailed so much more. “Father? Are you there?” she had called out.
(Sonata) What's your opinion of Christmas?
“I loved celebrating Christmas! Doing it with everyone was wonderful. Although it has been tough lately, Ms. Triage is finally back from hiding, I’m sure Presto would be happy to see her.”
“But, I miss her. Shade, I mean.I hope she’s okay out there.”
“Father’s day.. year seven.. He’d be ashamed.”
“He’d be ashamed, disgusted, disappointed .. He’d wish us decommissioned.. For what you did.. He still does.. We can never go home because of everything you did..!”
Two sides of the coin (Plot)
Sun rose in the sky slowly, Shade could see it from the alleyway she hid in cradling a wound with her hand. Exhaling and inhaling deep breaths she shifted deeper into the shadows to keep herself hidden from sight.
The police after all this time were still searching, with a body count continuing to rise with it .. It was getting federal.
“It’s like home ... I didn’t want this ..” Sonata’s voice whispered with her waving voice, Shade’s eyes looking to her side where she could see the vision of the light bot with tears going down her face. “Melody wouldn’t want this .. You know it too .. That makes this worse..”
Shade stared at her silently for a moment while green flame softly licked at wounds searing shut holes in tubing and metal. “What did you think was going to happen when we killed her? That only her family would come after us-” “I did not kill her! You did!” Sonata shouted with a shaky breath.
“She was someone precious to Presto .. to everyone and you ..” “Soanta you know god damn well that she fucking survived so don’t even.” Shade’s ear had twitched making her lean off the wall and continue moving, it wasn’t safe to remain here.
“I know your thoughts ... Shade.” Soanta had said softly, her vision forced to follow beside Shade like a ghost. “You wish that her ic chip and CPU were in her head when you did it ..” Shade held a frown as she climbed. “And in our head that confession will remain forever.”
Reaching the roof tops Shade looked over at Sonata’s ghost, her frown deepening with her words. “You don’t have to be this .. do this .. In this world, you don’t have to be the villain .. If you would just let someone in-” “Letting them in got us here time and time again.” She took a step towards her. “The ones I was suppose to protect die by the hands of those we either can’t kill or can’t FIND. In our world and this one it is all the same. I am the villain, I do not get to keep friends, save the day. I don’t get the girl. I do not get the happy ending. Open your fucking eyes to the truth Sonata!” she snapped, unwavering to Soanta’s tears.
The vision of the DLN vanished as she buried her face in her hands, leaving Shade alone to keep walking.
