Pineapples. They're seasonal to summer and they've been a huge trend this year. They were introduced few years back but they weren't as popular as this year. Taking one of the summer's favourite fruits and turning into a motif into fashion, I've adapted the trend into 3 looks that are $100 or less.
Trends don't always become a trend because it's what the runways dictate. Trends can also be formed on the streets and here's one trend that I'm loving that's starting to make it big; pairing sequins and pastels together. Considering that the holiday season is long gone, but was a time to bring in the sequins and pastels have been trending all year round, we've all ought to have pieces already to recreate the trend. If not or if you're looking for inspiration, I've created 3 different looks that incorporated pastel and sequin pieces together, which are all under $100 including tax. Some of these items may even be on sale at the moment.
Fall/winter fashion is underway and a trend right now is plaid. Plaid is preppy. Plaid is masculine. Plaid is punky. Plaid is British. It's a really fun pattern to play with to hit all of these trends that are hot for fall right now or just classic trends in general. If you're iffy about the trend, you don't have to go head to toe in it. I put together some outfits with the $100 challenge that goes from bolder plaid looks to playing with plaid in accessories for those who are still easing into it.
For the past few years, one of the trends that hits the cat walks for fall fashion is black and white. It's like taking those "white-out" all white looks from spring and summer and adding black to the mix to make it fall ready. I'm not complaining, because we get to use pieces we already have and pairing them so that they're on trend. What I like about this trend is how it keeps things fresh in the fall. We can see that we can throw together solid black and white pieces together, but we can also get quite graphic with the prints. I've created 3 outfits, all under $100, that plays with the black and white trend. I utilize textures and prints to play with the more graphic look and to make it more appropriate for fall.

It is easy to see that cobalt blue has been hitting the red carpets, but often the looks we see on celebrities come with a hefty price tag. With the $100 challenge, I have created 5 different looks that uses the cobalt blue trend.
What is the $100 challenge? Every outfit in the $100 challenge MUST be $100 or less, including tax! Sale items may be used in the process, but cannot be the only items used. I try to make sure that they have all/most sizes available when adding an item to the challenge if online shopping is available(what's the point of helping other people shop if it doesn't come in their size?). If you cannot buy the product online, I try my best to check in-store to see availability. Also, I try my best to find items that have quality; therefore, there are some stores that have cheaper items that I would probably never include (e.g. Urban Planet, Stitches, etc.)
