The helplessness. You're watching something you love twitch and spasm and although this is the second time you've done something of the sort, it is unsettling nonetheless. It was difficult for you then and it is difficult for you now. The inherent horror. You put her down in pure shock and recoil and you watch her. You watch her spasm for the next 5 seconds unable to touch her. Every single nerve in your body is screaming at you "touch her, do something, don't just stand there."

But you can't. I was holding her 30 seconds prior to her death and after it, I couldn't lay my hands on her for a good few minutes.
