Sixty years ago, the DAF City was presented in 1966 as an experimental concept car designed to solve urban traffic and parking problems. It was commissioned by the Italian car magazine Quattroruote and built by the coachbuilder OSI using the mechanical underpinnings of the Dutch DAF Daffodil. The car featured a unique entry system. The driver's side had a single sliding door, while the passenger side had two doors that opened outwards with no central B-pillar.
