OCUL - The announcement of negative Phase 3 results for treatment of ocular inflammation & pain has shares down 28% in the pre. CLVS - Clovis Oncology received breakthrough therapy designation for treatment of ovarian cancer, shares up 9% on the OptionsHouse extended hours platform. GBX - Greenbrier KRUSHED EPS forecasts by 37 cents on stronger revenues & raised guidance, shares up better than 6% here. GM - Government Motors is down 2% as the Canadian Investment Corporation is selling 73M (4.5% of total shares). HPP - Hudson Pacific announced it will do a 5 million share secondary, shares off 2% in the pre. ISCA - International Speedway beat EPS forecasts by 7 cents on stronger revenues & reaffirmed guidance, shares higher by nearly 3%.

ISCA Increases Q3 Revenue Despite Incurring Major Costs

International Speedway Corp.’s (ISCA) third-quarter revenues were up 11% compared to the same time period last year.  The growth is attributed to sharp increases in television broadcast licensing and sales of concessions and merchandise at racetracks.  Also contributing to the revenue growth was a music festival held at the company’s Michigan racetrack.  ISC managed to post a profit last quarter of $191,000, even as the company incurs major costs for its $400 million Daytona Rising renovation project. 

The upgrades to Daytona International Speedway are expected to boost ISC's annual revenue at the track by $20 million.  Toyota already has signed on to become the first of four founding sponsors of the renovated track in an 11-year deal worth $6-7 million annually.  In the near future, ISC expects to announce its second Daytona Rising founding sponsor and select a general contractor for its $800 million One Daytona mixed-use development.  Business couldn't be better at “The World Center of Racing.”
