"where is my son?!" the sound of emma's voice cut through the chaos of the er that hardly mattered to the woman who had one goal and that was finding jeremy who had run off again. she had grown used to it by now and he usually did come back within a few hours or a day, but this was different. he was gone longer this time and emma was understandably panicked.
she had gone out looking for him before ending up at the emergency department of the hospital where she was talking to anyone who would listen. unfortunately she wasn't getting anywhere and when she was once again told to wait for someone to see her, emma ran a nervous hand through her hair before she spotted doctor abbot whom she knew her son had grown close to.
"doctor abbot!" she called out as she made her way over to him, ignoring anyone who tried to stop her from leaving the waiting area. "doctor abbot, i need to speak to you." she said once she approached the man, looking completely frazzled about what was going on. "jeremy left and i have no idea where he is. he's been gone and i can't find him anywhere. you have to help me. i know he's grown close to you and i..." she trailed off, needing to catch her breath and calm her rapidly beating heart. "have you seen him?"
