when vi looks at the painting of jinx & vander, a lot of people think it's resentment or something similar on vi's face, but i feel like it's more of a sense of failure. she's tried to do what's right her entire life and it's never made a difference, but jinx is this apparent bad guy who does one thing right and is regarded as the hero of zaun. it's evident now more than ever that it has never been what it seems. jinx is still her sister, still a person, and vi has failed both her and everyone she's ever known at every step of the way. at least, that's what her head tells her. a massive downfall of her always present state of mental health... or lack thereof.
