Coming back from her class, the last thing Colette expected to see was Apple crying. The blonde was always so sickeningly cheerful, always a smile on her face, that Colette wasn’t even sure she could cry. But those were definitely tears there, no matter what Apple said. Her expression made it obvious that she didn’t believe her.
First instinct was to ask who made her cry. Sure the two weren’t exactly two peas in a pod, but Apple was her roommate, and therefore Colette developed a small protective side over the princess. If someone messed with Apple, Colette took it personally, and she’d make it her business to make sure it never happened again.
But instead, she tossed her book carelessly on her own bed,crossed her arms over her chest (No, she’s not going to risk making her softer side obvious) and made her way across the room over to the other young woman.
“Oh, so those aren’t tears that I’m seeing? My mistake.”
Her tone isn’t as harsh as usual, but even now her tough facade hasn’t wavered, though her expression has softened just a little. Only the slightest.
“Do I look stupid? I know you’re crying.” She rolled her eyes, sitting awkwardly on the edge of the bed. She’s always been iffy with the more tener emotions. Back in her home it was a weakness. “ So, what’s up?
