toothy grins. warm magnetism. magically colored hair, a different hue every week. a goth phase that you like to think you’ve grown out of. changing the subject whenever your family is brought up --- you’re not ashamed of your past, but the pain of reliving it can be too much sometimes. taking the love that you missed in your childhood and feeding it into the world. always a shoulder to cry on. standing up for your housemates when they’re picked on, perhaps more fiercely than necessary. a signed puddlemere united poster above your bed. self-righteous tendencies. you always have to play the martyr, don’t you?

natsumi suzuki & madeline ormskirk → the three of you have been a posse since second year, giggling in corridors and whispering secrets beneath pillow forts in your dormitory. natsumi and madeline have both had a rough time in life, just like you, and there’s a sympathetic understanding between you that couldn’t be replicated with anyone else. you wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize what you have with them --- but these past couple years it’s been getting more difficult, as the longing stares and charged moments between you and natsumi grow harder to ignore.
