hope you’re ready @mpxtyler!
Much like any other skill, fighting was one that needed to be practiced in order to maintain one’s proficiency in that school. It was times like these when Yako was feeling like she could use a refresher course (or she had pent up energy, or she was feeling punchy, or she was seething with rage, or, or, or). This time Yako showed up all tiny running shorts and sports bra with her hair shifted to long and black and straight pulled up into a high ponytail. It wasn’t exactly the best hairstyle for fighting, especially not for self defense, but there was just something about a high ponytail that really made Yako feel like she was working out. The movement, maybe. Not that it was important, not to anyone but Yako herself.
With her tiny frame and relatively slim figure (one that wasn’t even real since she could alter it at will), Yako didn’t exactly pose much of a threat. Or at least, she didn’t appear to. But if there was anything Yako knew perfectly well it was that looks could be deceiving. She proved this time and again when her partners would underestimate her, inevitably decide to go easy on her, and then she sprang like a coiled snake faster than their minds could really comprehend in time to bring their arms up for even the barest defense. It soon came about that she had scared off each and every potential sparring partner; all that was left was the instructor, someone Yako didn’t recognize this time.
“I guess you’re up, teach.”
