She's 21 but just had several hundred years worth of memories shoved in her head. She's fighting a war she cannot hope to survive. She goes to finish the life her past host didn't get to live and is struggling with it hard. She's insane.
I like the idea of Owain and Cherri being lost twins, but I think lost friends works better. Owain was adopted by King Arthur and Soluna needed allies because of their war so it makes sense that Arthur would’ve brought Owain along to negotiations in Soluna as a knight or as his son and it makes sense that Ren would’ve brought Cherri, and by extension Apo, to Walesland as well. They’re lost friends, your honor. I can’t draw or animate to save my life but if I could I’d make an animatic of their friendship, Cherri and Apo hearing of the death of King Arthur, them doubting it, and then meeting again in Bannerfall to Something In The Orange. And what’s sadder is that canonically, Owain never would’ve told Cherri it was him. So he knows his friend is on the other side of the war and can’t do anything about it. I might write this as a fic lowkey

Once bf!Cherri is strong enough to carry bf!Apo bridal style, she starts doing it all the time. If Apo give any sort of sign that she is tired or feeling a bit sleepy Cherri will simply pick her up.
The first few times this happened Apo tried to get Cherri to put them down, but Cherri simply kept carrying them. As time went on Apo got more and more used to it, so now she simply let's herself relax and sleeps in their arms.
